Margie C. Huerta, Ph.D.
Campus Executive Officer
Doña Ana Branch Community College
MSC 3DA, PO Box 30001
Las Cruces, NM 88003-8001

Dear Dr. Huerta:

After searching the employment opportunities link on the Doña Ana Branch Community College web site, I
would like to be considered for a position as an Instructor or Assistant Professor in the Digital Graphics
Technology program. After four years of being a student of Fine Art at New Mexico State University and
having directly experienced the Digital Graphics Technology curriculum at DABCC, I have clearly seen the
professional advantage the Digital Graphics Technology program provides students within the field of
multimedia graphic design.

DGT confers multimedia design students with practical and accessible skills for use in the graphic
industry. Demonstrable mastery of Adobe and Macromedia software application suites. knowledge of
digital design production in both print and web, as well as an understanding of the business practices of
contemporary multimedia graphic designers. As a student of Graphic Design and Photography at NMSU
Main Campus interning at the Wilson Binkley Advertising and Marketing Agency, I witnessed the extreme
adversity traditional design students from NMSU main campus face due the lack of knowledge of graphic
software applications. As I thrived in the professional graphics field due to information gained from the
DGT program, my peers failed at obtaining professional positions and obtained less than acceptable
marks in class. In the academic environment, my peers flailed helplessly in the computer lab because of
extreme technical inability. Disastrously, adept and exceedingly talented students were not able to
technically produce work in graphic communication for employers parallel to their conceptual ability.

I absolutely believe in the DABCC teaching philosophy and have a driven interest in multiplying the
success of your superlative curriculum with my background in the multimedia design field. I have
constructed knowledge of educational learning technologies, fine art studio production, information
technologies, and the history of fine art. I currently live in Las Cruces and would appreciate the
opportunity to interview and discuss employment opportunities. If you require additional information or
have questions, I can be reached at 505 621-6709 or nasetidwell@yahoo.com. Please feel free to browse
my personal web space at the following URL: http://www.trentontidwell.com I look forward to hearing
from you soon.

Respectfully,

Trenton Tidwell
