Not All Private Label Right’s Are Created Equal PLR or Private Label Rights products have fast become popular in recent times due to their ability to be re-edited and transformed into new and original products. Owing to their editable nature they are the closest thing to having your own product without actually creating it from scratch. The only caveat to PLR products is that your use is limited only by the types of rights you have ownership of. It pays to check your rights before you purchase so that there are no nasty surprises if you ever decide to promote your products on sites such as eBay. The reason why there are restrictions and that not every author allows the original piece of work to be promoted just anywhere is so that the content maintains its value for longer. How many times have you come across auctions sites and the same product you bought for $27 is selling for $1? It makes it more difficult for others to sell the same product for more when customers can get it much cheaper elsewhere. The quality perception takes a nosedive and a once fresh product becomes stale as day old bread. This is why authors have certain stipulations and restrictions on their products which exists to benefit everybody in the long run. What Are The Types Of Rights? Basic, ground level Resell Rights: these are the weakest of the rights. You only have the right to sell to your products to your immediate customer but they cannot go on to sell that product on to theirs. So in essence, the product’s main purpose is not for resell purposes but rather the value is in the product itself. These cannot be edited or altered or re-branded. This is mostly for the benefit of the original author where their links remain intact and go everywhere you promote their product whereas the reseller makes money only on the sale of the product. They can never claim ownership of that product because they are not entitled to alter it. Master Resell Rights Unlike Basic Resell Rights resellers have the ability to sell on the Resell Rights to their customers where they in turn can sell them to theirs. Not only is the product of interest in this situation, but the business opportunity is usually the most appealing part and holds the most value. Customers know they can make money from it. The Master Resell Rights can be offered as a One Time Offer after your customer has purchased your product or product with along with rights can be sold as one package. Like Basic Resell Rights, the product cannot be edited or altered in any way and must be sold in the form it was purchased in. Private Label Rights These are more flexible in that you can alter the content and claim yourself as the author. It pays to alter the title and product name so that it will appear as a completely original and unique piece of work. You can also dress your products in new packaging complete with graphics. You are not bound by the same terms and
conditions as the other resell rights and you’re not promoting the original author but yourself. There however may be some restrictions that may come with standard Private Label Rights and chances are you probably won’t be able to sell them on auction sites. You’ll most likely have to alter and re-edit the content so as not to clash with others selling the same product. Unrestricted Private Label Rights These are the mint rights you can possibly get hold of. It’s the ability to do whatever you want with the content with zero restrictions. Not only can you re-edit and claim yourself as the author but you can also sell the raw source code (which is usually the text in the form of a Word document) as is, without editing. You can sell the product without editing (not suggested as you want to stand out from the other people too lazy to alter theirs). You’ll be able to give the content away as freebies and bonuses and chances are you’ll be able to sell them on auction sites for whatever price you want. So these are by far the best rights, although may cost a little more than your standard resell are the most powerful in terms of the potential uses with the added benefit of promoting yourself and not another authors product. Experiment with resell products, try the different rights and what suits your style best. You may want to try basic resell to begin with as there is no re-editing or information altering required. You on the other hand may be comfortable re-editing and so Private Label Rights might be more your thing. Now you know the different types of rights out there and their benefits and restrictions, try them all and see what works best for you.
