Description:

C-810L, Caprylic/Capric Acid, Low C6
GENERAL INFORMATION cont…
Oil Derivation/Allergen/BSE/Microbial:
All of our fatty alcohol brands are produced in P&G Chemicals’ global fatty alcohol network. They are manufactured entirely from naturally occurring vegetable oils. • No preservatives or additives are present. • No gluten/wheat, corn, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish, sulfites, yeast, starch, MSG, peanut, other nut, rice, sugar, or sodium potential allergens are present. • Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE) are not a concern with C-810L, Caprylic/Capric Acid. • At the low vacuum (12-18 mmHg) and high temperature (up to 550 degF) at which our process operates, we do not believe that microbiological activities exist.

Caprylic/Capric Acid, Low C6 CAS# 67762-36-1; Formula: Cn-1H2n-1COOH;
C-810L is a mixture of Caprylic Acid (C8, 53-60%) and Capric Acid (34-42%); ‘n’ in the structural diagram above refers to the different carbon chain lengths present, from C6 up to C12. It is a water white to yellow liquid under ambient conditions with a musty, pungent odor.
