Abstract
The analyses of Mossbauer spectroscopy and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)
have been used to study polycrystalline ZnFe 1-xO4 ferrite at 293K. The
Mossbauer spectrum was resolved into two doublets, ascribed to iron in
ferric state (Fe3+) distributed in Tetra and Octa sites with different ratio.
The XRD of Zn ferrite sample showed the structure form of ZnFe 2O4.
That was found to be confirmed with the Mossbauer spectrum of
ZnFe2O4. Zinc ferrite doped with titanium oxides (ZFT) with different
atomic compositions (0.2-0.8) was also investigated with the aim to
identify the effect of Ti on the iron distribution among octahedral (B site)
and tetrahedral (A-site) of the face centered cubic oxygen lattice.
