For example, search engine, news and sports. 2) NEWS A news web site contains stories and articles which are relating to the current events, life, money and weather. Mostly of the newspapers like The Star or television and radio stations such as TV3 and Fly fm are the media that use this application to maintain the news in the web sites. 3) INFORMATIONAL An informational web site is a web site that providing any factual information for the users. For instance, Malaysian government is updating new information about taxes and subsidies in their web site. 4) BUSINESS/MARKETING Business or marketing web site is used by the companies or enterprises to promote and sell their products which the users can purchase the products or services online. 5) BLOG Blog is informal web site with time stamped articles or journals. There are four type of blog. First, video blog which meant a blog that contains video clips. Second is micro blog. It allows the users to sent short messages to others. Example is twitter. Third, blog sphere is refers to a collection of blogs all over the world. Lastly, vlogosphere is the collection of the video blogs in the world. 6) Wiki Wiki is a web site that allows the users to edit, modify, add, delete and create the contents of a web site. The most popular wiki is Wikipedia. 7) ONLINE SOCIAL NETWORKS Online social network is a web site that allows the users to share their photos, videos and interests. It is also known as social networking web site. 8) EDUCATIONAL An educational web site provides formal and informal teaching and learning for example, online training for employees and online classes for students. 9) ENTERTAINMENT An entertainment web site is a web site which offers all interactive and engaging environments like music, videos, sports, games, and chat rooms. 10) ADVOCACY Advocacy web site contains views of a particular group or association. It describes a cause, opinion, or idea. 11) WEB APPLICATION Web application is a web site which allows the users to access and interact with others users with web browser through internet connection. Example of web application is Google Docs. 12) CONTENT AGGREGATOR Content aggregator is a business that gathers and organizes all the web contents and then subscribed it to the users for free or a fee for instance, news, music and videos. The users will select the contents they love to download and any changes in the contents, it will download automatically to the users. Example of content aggregator is Really Simple Syndication. 13) PERSONAL Personal web page is used by private individuals or family for several reasons like job hunting and sharing their experiences with the world. It is not usually associated with any organization in order to maintain it.
