CENTRE Minimum System Requirements
The CENTRE application requires the following:
1. Operating system:
Windows 2003 Web Edition
Windows 2003 Standard Edition
Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition

5. 1GB RAM
1- Make sure your system has minimum system requirements.
2- Download the installation file and copy it on your Server’s local drive.
3- Using an administrator Account log in to the computer you want to install CENTRE on it.
4- Run the installation file, Setup.exe or CENTRE.msi.
5- Follow the installation instructions and complete dialogs.
6- In the “Database Server” screen, select your SQL Server instance name from the drop
down menu. You can use either “machine name” followed by SQL Server instance name
or click on the “Browse” button and select the appropriate server from the list.
(i.e. (local)\SQLEXPRESS or ITG-Dev01\SQLExpress or ITG-Verifi)
1- Select “Windows authentication credentials of current users” to connect to the
SQL Server. For a simple installation leave it to use the default credentials.
2- In the “Name of database catalog” text box, enter a desired name for your database
and click “Next”. (i.e. CENTRE_DB)
3- In the “Setup Type” Screen select “Complete” and click “Next”.
4- In the “Ready To Install the Program” Screen Click “Install”.
5- The installation process will take about 15 minutes so please be patient in all steps Wait
for the install process and click “Finish”. “CENTRE” installation is now complete!
Create User and Grant Permissions:
6- Next, you must create a new user called “CENTRE_SQLAdmin” in “Local User and
Groups window” as follow:
a) Go to Start > Right click “My Computer” > and click on the “Manage”
(alternatively you can go to “Start > Run” and type “LUSRMGR.MSC” and click “Ok”. )
b) From the left panel, expand the “Local Users and Groups” Node and right click on
“Users” then select “New User…”.
c) Input “CENTRE_SQLAdmin” in the username textbox and fill other information in
the “New User” form. Remember to clear the check mark next to “User must change
password at next logon”, then put a check mark next to “Password never expires” and
click “Create” and then click “Close”.
7- The SQL Admin User is now created. From the right panel of the “Local Users and
Groups” window, Right click on the new user you just created (CENTRE_SQLAdmin) and
go to properties.
Go to the “Member Of” tab, Click on the “Add” button; add the new user to the
“IIS_WPG” groups as follow:
a) To add the user to the “IIS_WPG” group type “IIS_WPG” in the textbox, click on
“Check Names” and then click “Ok”
c) Click “Ok”
8- Go to Start > Administrative tools > click on “Component Services”. Then from the left
panel go to “Component Services”> Computers > My Computer > COM+ Applications.
Right Click on CENTRE Application and then go to properties.
9- In the “Identity” Tab, select “This User” and click “Browse”
a) In the textbox type “CENTRE_SQLAdmin”, then click “Check Names” and then click
c) Type the right password for “CENTRE_SQLAdmin” and confirm it, then click “Ok”.
10- Open windows explorer (My Computer) and go to the “Program Files” drive (typically C:\
drive) then open Program Files and right click on “ComPlus Applications” folder and
grant Read, Write and Modify rights to the CENTRE_SQLAdmin user that was just
created as follow:
a) Right Click on the “ComPlus Applications” folder, go to properties, go to the
“Security Tab”, Click “Add”, type “CENTRE_SQLAdmin” in the textbox, click “Check
Names”, and then click “Ok”.
b) Put a check mark next to the “Modify”, “Read” and “Write” and click “Ok”.
Implementing Database Permissions:
11- Launch SQL Server Management Studio (Start > All Programs> Microsoft SQL Server
2005> SQL Server Management Studio) and click “Connect” to continue (in the server
name drop down menu, you can use the server name that you used at install time, i.e.
12- In the “Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio” window, from the left panel, expand
“Security” node, right click on “Logins”, and select “New login”.
a) In the “Login-New” screen, click on “Search” button.
c) In the “Select User or Groups” window, input CENTRE_SQLAdmin in the text box and
click “Check Names”
d) Click “Ok”
e) Change the “Default Database” to your Database name.
f) From the left panel, click “User Mapping” section and select your database name (i.e.
g) Put a checkmark next to “db_Owner” and “Public”
h) Click “Ok”.
Setup database connection string:
13- From the Start Menu, Go to My Computer > windows directory (typically C drive) >
Microsoft.NET > Framework > v2.0.50727 > CONFIG > and open the web.config file
14- In the Web.config file, go to the last line, and paste the following text just before the
<add key="DBConnStr" value="server=SQLServerName;database=YourDatabaseName;integrated security=SSPI"/>
15- Change SQLServerName and YourDatabaseName to the appropriate names that you’ve
chosen. (i.e. (local)\sqlExpress ) and right database name (i.e. CENTRE_DB)

16- Save the web.config file and close it.
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > ITG > CENTRE and launch the “Try CENTRE Modules”
application. Then select the modules you want to try and close the application.
Remember that even if you do not want to try any modules as a trial version, you should
launch this application just once before using CENTRE. It will initialize certain required
Configure IIS Settings:
Go to IIS Manager (Start > Control Panel> Administrative tools> Click Internet
Information Services), from left panel, click on the Web Service Extension node, then
from the right panel, choose “ASP.NET v2.0.50727” and change the status to “Allowed”.
Do the same thing to “Active Server Page” and “ASP.NET v1.1.xxxx”.
Launch CENTRE for the first time:
17- Launch Internet Explorer and navigate to http://localhost/
18- Login using username: admin and password: itg*one. Now try different modules and
menus to see whether it is working.
Activate CENTRE for Purchased Modules
To register/activate CENTRE Modules launch “CENTRE Modules Activation” application.
Please remember only if you already bought CENTRE Licenses, you can activate it using
“CENTRE Modules Activation”. Other wise, if you want to try CENTRE Modules, you can
launch the “Try CENTRE Modules” program by going to Start> all programs > ITG > CENTRE
> and click on the “Try CENTRE Modules” application.
To Activate CENTRE Modules:
a) Launch Start > all programs > ITG > CENTRE >“CENTRE Modules Activation”
b) Enter your Serial Number and Click “Register Serial Number”
c) Copy the encrypted text and send it to ITG Support email address. ITG support team will
send you an email including your activation code and instruction as soon as possible.
Try CENTRE Modules:
To try CENTRE Modules launch Start > all programs > ITG > CENTRE > “Try CENTRE
Modules“, then, select the appropriate package that you want to try and then select the item
that belongs to that package.
Adding Automated Tasks
There are several executable (.exe) files that you should set them up to be ran automatically
using “Scheduled Task” in Microsoft Windows. To Set them up go to Control Panel > Scheduled
Task > Add Scheduled Task, and then set the “Scheduled Task” to run following application
according to the following table:

1- Error 27502
when you want to specify your remote SQL Server machine and database, following error
Solution: Go to SQL Server Machine, Start Menu-> Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Configuration Management SQL Server Surface Area Connection.
Then click on the Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections.
Find your SQL Server instances and go to Remote Connection Node. Change Connection type
to “Local and Remote Connections” then select “Using both TCP/IP and named pipes” and
press apply. Do the same instructions for default instance of SQL Server.
Then Click ok. Now you should restart SQL Server Service. Go to administrative tools
Services. Find SQL Server Services and restart both Database engine and MSSQLServer
Go back to Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections and click on
“SQL Server Browser”. From “Startup type” drop down list, select “Automatic” and click on
apply button. Then click on “Start” service for “SQL Browser” and then click ok.
Now you should be able to connect to SQL Server from your IIS Machine.
2- Error 1919:
ODBC Data source, Database Should exists on destination.
There is a problem in Data Sources (ODBC), System DSN.
Go to Windows directory inf find mdac.inf file, right click on it and click “Install”. Then
follow install instructions.
3- Error 1316:
Solution: go to system registry, find HKLM\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\INSTALLER\PRODUCTS and
clear the product key.
