RMHCBA scholarships are awarded to students who display educational excellence and outstanding community involvement. Studies show that the harder it is for students to start college, the more likely it is they will drop out. The goal of the RMHC Scholarship Program is to provide resources to students who need financial assistance to attend college. RMHCBA, McDonald’s Bay Area restaurants, and other regional business and community organizations have bestowed the gift of education to over 1,000 students since the program began in 2002. Scholarship recipients are invited to re-apply for the scholarship every year they are in college. This year, the RMHCBA Scholarship Program is awarding scholarships to 35 past recipients to help them continue their college educations. For 2010 applications and more information, please visit www.rmhcbayarea.com and www.rmhc.com.
