                                MODULE QUESTIONS

VARIABLE NAME: sun_s1

QUESTION:
Now we want to ask you about sunburns. By sunburn we mean any reddening or
discomfort of your skin that lasts longer than 12 hours after exposure to the sun or other
ultra violet sources, such as tanning beds or sunlamps. IN THE PAST TWELVE
MONTHS, has any part of your body been sunburned?

       Response Options
            1 yes
            5 no
            8 don’t know
            9 refused

ANALYSIS ISSUES: In 2006,the question as asked for only part of the year (May –
December 2006) when it should have been asked for the whole year. As such results
from 2006 may not be comparable to pervious years when the question was asked
during the whole year (there could be a seasonal effect that may influence the results)
