E Y E O N eoa A R B O N N E LEGACY OF FAITH An Arbonne business has the potential to allow you to live your best life now! But before this can happen, you must make a choice to do the business and work toward your Arbonne goals, no matter what. Nineteen months ago, I was living day-to-day life as a registered nurse, wife and mother of four girls, ages 17, 7, 4 and 1, when I was invited to a skin care Presentation in the small town we live in, Newark, Texas. I attended only because I wanted to support my friend and eventual sponsor, Cindy Beard (it took me three days to learn how to pronounce “Arbonne”). Little did I realize the new direction my life was about to take. Luckily, I took my husband’s advice and seized upon this ground level opportunity. But, in the beginning, I could not see myself selling or sharing health and wellness products. After all, I had college degrees, professional credentials and a career reputation to uphold. I had to get over myself before I could see the life-changing opportunity with Arbonne. I have experienced my share of life’s setbacks. This collection of moments had shaped my pessimistic view of always seeing the glass half empty. As a victim of child abuse, I grew up believing that I was not worthy of being so abundantly blessed. It seemed I was always taking the road less traveled and getting myself into a mess. Although I dropped out of high school at age 17 when I became a new mom, I eventually put myself through college to become a nurse. Being a nurse for the past 12 years was a career which I have truly enjoyed. Nursing allowed me to make a difference in other’s lives to some degree, but it was not without sacrifice. Many times, it came at the expense of my family. Ultimately, this took a toll on the quality of my life. When Arbonne entered the picture, it provided new hope for me and my family. What sealed the deal was when I was asked to shake hands with myself in five years to see where I would be. Facts are facts and I realized that if I kept doing what I was doing, I was going to keep getting what I was getting. That entailed more stress, time away from my family and still living from paycheck to paycheck. LEAVING A lori phares Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President Lori Phares Region; Newark, TX After promoting to DM in six weeks, I became very maintenance-minded and did not believe I could achieve success with Arbonne. I became my biggest obstacle. At NTC 2005 Las Vegas, I found myself at a crossroad with my business and had planned to quit. Then, ENVP Cecilia Stoll took the stage and turned my world around. After NTC, my business took off with my newfound belief and attitude. And thanks to the Arbonne=REsults™ reach out method, my business grew. I invested in my personal growth and in developing my self-belief. If you believe that you cannot succeed, then you are right; but, if you believe that you can succeed, then you are right again! “What you think about, you bring about,” as President Rita Davenport would say. Along my Arbonne journey, life threw us many curveballs, especially with the loss of four loved ones within a year’s time. However, I believe continued ... In Arbonne, we are often asked if we have a plan B just in case you or your significant other no longer worked. I was fortunate to have my Arbonne business because the month my husband became unemployed, our team went into qualification for Region and finished the following month. To Shawn: You believed in me and saw my potential with this company way before anyone else did. Thank you for being my biggest supporter. To Brandi: Thank you for being an awesome daughter! Remove the option to quit and you will become an Arbonne princess driving your own Mercedes-Benz. To Harlie, Hanna and Halle: Thank you for being the best girls a mommy could have. All the struggles of building an Arbonne business was worth seeing you delight in the new, white Mercedes-Benz by saying with childlike faith, “Wow, God does answer prayers!” To ENVP Cecilia Stoll: Words cannot describe the impact your leadership has had on us all. I know you must have a huge mansion waiting for you in heaven. You are a beacon shining bright for many past, present and future Consultants. To ENVP Ann Wandishin: I will forever be grateful to you for taking me under your wing and teaching me everything I know about Arbonne. Ann, you are dear to me, more than you will ever know! To AM Dottie Cruz and ERVP Vickie Cruz: It has been a wild ride and I am looking forward to many more crazy times. You make Arbonne fun! To AM Debbie Singleton: Thank you for trusting me, for taking this journey with me and, most of all, for being my Nana’s nurse in her final days when I could not think straight. To EAM Belinda Shirk: Girl, you walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to being Arbonne — amazing! To AM Terry Schulz: You are the team’s business-building magnet! Can you all smell the leather and are you dreaming in white yet? To DMs, Leona Shinn, Diane Burnell, Lisa Williamson, Cindy Overton, Jennifer Jennings, Karen Christensen, Charlotte Barr, Shannon Boland and LaJuaina Haynes as well as to the many DMs-in-qualification: You are our Region’s heart and soul. Continue to dial for dollars. Make your Arbonne business fun and it will be! Believe it and you will achieve it. To my family, friends and Clients: Thank you for loving the Arbonne products. To Founder Petter Mørck: Thank you for your Arbonne vision of changing the world one person at a time. May we carry on your legacy of “paying it forward.” To President Rita Davenport: Thank you for instilling the values of how every person should view life with humor. God must really love you to give you the talents you have! To Chairman & CEO Bob Henry: I am proud to brag that you are our top executive! Thank you for teaching me that I, too, can become a CEO (choose an exciting opportunity) with my own life. Keep hanging around Rita and you will be dancing in no time! To the Arbonne Home Office staff: What would the Consultants do without all of you! It has been said that our life is like a book and we have the option of writing our own ending through the choices we make. What type of legacy are you leaving for others to remember you by? You have the choice to start living your best life now with Arbonne. So, wherever you are on your life’s journey, it is never too late to choose a new direction. In life, we are generally presented with one or two life-changing opportunities. Is this the first or last? How will the book that is about “you” end? The choice is yours. The testimonials in this story reflect the actual experience of an individual, are anecdotal only, and may be atypical. Members of the Texas team at a “Discover Arbonne” meeting.
