Nineteen months ago, I was living day-to-day life as a registered
nurse, wife and mother of four girls, ages 17, 7, 4 and 1, when I was
invited to a skin care Presentation in the small town we live in, Newark,
Texas. I attended only because I wanted to support my friend and even-
tual sponsor, Cindy Beard (it took me three days to learn how to pro-
nounce “Arbonne”). Little did I realize the new direction my life was
about to take. Luckily, I took my husband’s advice and seized upon this
ground level opportunity. But, in the beginning, I could not see myself
selling or sharing health and wellness products. After all, I had college
degrees, professional credentials and a career reputation to uphold. I
