WITH AMAZING GRACE,
I am a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful children: Blake, 8, Riley, 7 and Hannah Grace, 3. Since finding the man of my dreams nine years ago and having my wonderful children, I have lived out my childhood fantasies of the perfect family life. I had everything I ever wanted; but only two years ago I found myself in the depths of depression and misery. I had developed terrible acne and was battling symptoms of depression. Although I tried many anti-depressants, they just made me feel worse. I desperately wanted to be the old cheerful me for the sake of my family, but I just didn’t know how. There were no obvious reasons for my sudden bouts of depression, which was only made worse by the onset of acne. One day a simple phone call changed my life! My cousin, Jessica Banks, called just to say “hi.” Over the phone line, she could hear that I was in tears. I told her all about my depression and my terrible case of acne. about sharing my Arbonne experiences and seriously thought that I could do Arbonne as a business. After all, it would allow me to continue to stay home with my kids and at the same time permit me to help others who have similar problems as I did. There was one glaring problem with this scenario, though – I am terrified of speaking in front of people. Faced with this challenge, I met my fears head on. After all I had been through, I refused to let fear run my life ever again; and these products were too important not to tell everybody. Don’t get me wrong—I still get extremely nervous, even to the point of panic attacks. But now I rely on God to get me through the classes and presentations. I ask Him to provide me with enough eloquence and intelligence to help me communicate my message of hope. to building a successful Arbonne business, I taught an important life lesson to my children by showing them that if you have a dream and believe in yourself, anything in life is possible. Although I still cannot believe that I have reached my goals since being promoted to Regional Vice President, the satisfaction I feel is immeasurable. After all, it was only last August that I could not even make my District Manager’s quota! It forced my business partner, current Area Manager Carmen Martin, and I to take a long hard look at our business strategy and motivated us to learn and implement the Six For Success system. We challenged each other to get the most classes in one month and we each ended up organizing eight classes each. More than that, this gave us the momentum to go Area by November of 2002. Thank you, Dana Collins for a system that works! In April, I attended my first NTC in Nashville, TN., accompanied by twelve women from my team. We were all blown away by how amazing this company was! NTC made an obvious impression on me, serving as a stepping stone by helping me meet my next challenge. Within two months of returning from Nashville, my volume went from $12,000/month to $35,000/month and I had reached first step qualification for Region. With my incredible team behind me, I achieved my greatest feat to date: promoting to RVP in September 2003. I am truly blessed to have such a caring group of individuals. We could never have become a Region without the efforts of each and every team member! Jessica: Thank you for introducing me to Arbonne. You have given me such an incredible gift. Most importantly, I could not have done this without the support of my husband Jeff and my three children. At one of my monthly meetings, my son Blake kissed me goodnight and said, “Good luck tonight, mom. I hope you boost your volume. I can’t wait to see you in our new, white Mercedes!” Special thank yous go out to my mom, grandma Jean and great grandma Grace, for being my best Clients ever! I couldn’t have done this without you. Most of all, I want to thank God for giving me the courage I never knew I had to do this business. In His honor as well as in honor of my 103-year-old great grandmother and my daughter Hannah Grace, I chose the theme of my Region, amazing grace. They are enduring symbols of the incredible abundance that life has to offer. With simple grace, all things are possible.
