ADDING
VALUE
When I began my Arbonne business in May 2005, I had no idea of the value this company, the people associated with it and all those on my team who would add to my life in such a short period of time! My journey has been one filled with surprises and personal growth that added tremendous value to me and also to my family. We have learned what it means to dream again, encourage others and give of ourselves. This we know is the true value of having an Arbonne business. My husband and I have four children and I have had the privilege of staying home to raise them for the last 14 years. But as my youngest was beginning his first grade year, I was ready to take on a new challenge. I was also looking for a way to create an additional income stream that would give our family more choices. Choices that included where we would educate our children, while enabling us to give, serve and save! However, I was concerned that the specific criteria I was looking for in a job would be difficult to meet. The criteria included being able to work part-time out of my home and the opportunity to be my own boss and set my own hours. I also wanted a significant compensation before I would invest my time and energy into it. Because I have always had a spirit of adventure, I was excited to begin a home-based business with Arbonne. As I look back a year later, I am convinced this business was a specific answer to my prayer.

When ERVP Hannah Pifer invited me to an Arbonne “Opportunity” Presentation, I was struck by the people, products and leadership that I saw. I was attracted to the vision and drive I saw in Hannah and in other people already building their businesses. So in May, I got busy telling others about this incredible opportunity. Very quickly, I discovered that I had not only been given a challenge, I had been given a gift! Even though it was one of the biggest challenges I had taken on since parenting, it has been extremely rewarding. As

with any challenge, there were many ups and downs. Some days, I even questioned if I had what it takes to be successful with Arbonne. On those days, I had to borrow the belief of my family, friends and team members. Many days, one of my children would say, “Mom, are you an ‘R’ yet?” and I would respond, trying not only to convince them, but convince myself also, “No, but it will not be long!” Believing and dreaming is not only a gift for me, but for my whole family. Life experiences and accomplishments would be very meaningless without the impact of personal relationships! Building my Arbonne business has given me the opportunity to be shaped, sharpened and changed by the people around me. Our family has moved often and as a result, we had to leave dear friends behind in each move. Fortunately, some of those friends have joined me on this Arbonne adventure! Consequently, I have mostly an out-of-town team which has its own unique challenges and opportunities. But because of our Arbonne connection, several of these relationships that I had to leave are now a part of my every day life! Arbonne has added value to our lives in countless ways. The integrity of the leaders and the opportunity for me to contribute to our family’s income is already having a lasting affect in our lives. The relationships with my upline and those on my team have been the source of great value. My hope and goal is to bring to others this incredible business that could also add value to their lives. To ENVP Angie Lyle: You have added practical biblical wisdom and a no-compromise approach to the business ethic I have employed. Thank you for your incredible leadership and the countless ways in which you selflessly serve us! I have always known from day one that I have the absolute best upline possible. To ERVP Hannah Pifer: I love who you are and am truly sharpened daily by your laser focus on what really matters in life. It is humbling to know my team is my greatest asset!
To ERVP Patti Fox, EDM Jackie Basik, EDM Teresa Beck, DM Louise Lyons and ERVP Grace McLaren: Thank you for your kind encouragement, hard work and gracious hearts. I am so thankful we get to build our Arbonne businesses together! I am keenly aware that my team is the greatest asset. To my parents, Jack and Sue Sanford: The value you added to my life started a long time ago! Thank you for encouraging me all along the way! To my incredible husband, Todd: Without your daily encouragement and coaching, none of this would have happened. Your servant heart and desire to see me grow and give are just a portion of the daily blessings you bring to my life. Thank you for telling me, “I know you can do this!” over and over again. To my awesome children, Liz, 15; Carson, 13; Francie, 11 and Jackson, 7: I am deeply grateful for the encouragement, patience and fun that you all have been during this process. You make my life so rich! Thank you for believing in me!
