TO INSPIRE AND
FACILITATE CLARITY
Reflecting upon this past year, I am struck by the fact that I almost missed getting involved with Arbonne and achieving my greatest dreams because of “misconceptions.” My biggest misconception was about network marketing and what this career path really involves. My daughters, AM Dana Eriksson and ERVP Lory Muirhead, first discovered Arbonne. Because we have always wanted to work together, my daughter, Lory, immediately felt that Arbonne was the perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, I did not agree. I often dreamed of working with my daughters, but I had no desire to sell skin care products. The idea of using my relationships with family and friends for my financial gain made me totally resistant to considering this business. I was so turned off to network marketing, that no matter how good the products were, how much money could be made, or how wonderful it all sounded, I wanted no part of it. It was a difficult time for my precious daughter, Lory. I would not even try Arbonne’s skin care line. I was using expensive products from an aesthetician and thought there was no way Arbonne products could compare. Lory knew the products were awesome and believed in her heart that we could fulfill our dreams together with this company. But, no matter how hard she tried, I just would not budge. Fortunately for me, she did not give up.

After a 30- year career in sales, I longed to discover a way to not only make money, but to make a difference. I had spent my life working as an employee driven by the necessity to earn money. Finally, when I paused to consider how I could do something more meaningful, I was stumped. Through the process of identifying my “gifts” and how to use them in congruence with my career, I discovered the importance of having a personal mission statement as a foundation of our lives. Each of us has a personal calling as unique as our fingerprints and the best way to succeed in life is to discover what matters most to you, and then find a way to share it with others.

REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT
Last January, Lory discovered a book that changed her life. She read it and got excited! She realized she had found a way to convey the connection between Arbonne and what I was searching for. I read it and suddenly realized that Arbonne was exactly what I had always hoped to find … a business founded on empowering others to attain their dreams with a financial structure that rewards you in direct proportion to your accomplishments. It does not get much better than that. As our wise leader, President Rita Davenport says, “Arbonne is a selfdevelopment course disguised as a skin care company!” How profound those words actually are. Rita’s love permeates our corporate culture and you can feel the difference that her passion and devotion make. You do not have to be around Arbonne very long to realize that this is no ordinary company. For me, integrity is everything. I have to completely believe in whatever I am doing. Because of the integrity of Arbonne and their products, I have to share it with those I care about. I am amazed by the foresight and wisdom of Founder Petter Mørck. He realized 25 years ago, that using pure, safe, beneficial ingredients was the right thing to do. I am so proud to be a part of this company! I am with Arbonne because I have found a story that needs to be told.

Thank you to those who have shared this journey with me. To my precious daughters, Dana and Lory: You have always been my Why. Sharing this journey with you each and every day is more wonderful than anything I could ever have imagined. My sweet Dana, a speech pathologist, has recently joined Lory and me in our business, and we are so blessed to spend more time with her. Dana brings such serenity and wisdom to our team. My precious Lorilie, I am so sorry for doubting your vision. You were so right and I am so thankful that you kept praying for me and that God answered our prayers. Your vision and ability to dream has gotten us here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. To my precious husband, Doug: You have sacrificed the most this past year. You are truly the “wind beneath my wings” and have always believed in me so much more than I believed in myself. Thank you for putting up with my incessant passion for Arbonne. I am so grateful for your amazing wisdom, love and support. How do I begin to adequately convey my heartfelt gratitude to my amazing team? Each of you are so dear to me. The greatest blessing of Arbonne is getting to share the journey with people you love. There are so many angels who have touched our hearts along the way. To my upline, NVP Holly Warnol, ERVP Candace Nystrom, Rita, Donna, Julie, Jodi, Sandra and Ted, Krystal, Deanna, Sherrie, Sharon and Terri: You all have been such an inspiration. What amazing leaders you all are. Thank you for your generous support.

I cannot imagine a better path for fulfilling my mission statement, “To inspire and facilitate clarity.” Clarity is seeing the truth where there is a misconception. I cannot wait to get out of bed each day to share the message of Arbonne with others. The truth is that this business is not about imposing upon your friends, selfishly, as I had previously thought. Arbonne is about helping those you love make healthier choices about what they are “feeding their skin.” It also is about sharing the gift of having the potential for financial freedom and a lifestyle that is readily available, if one is just willing to let down those negative perceptions long enough to let in a little more information. Why keep saying it does not work when you can clearly see that it does?
