E Y E O N eoa A R B O N N E QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION I started my Arbonne journey in July of 1999, after trying a product sample pack that ERVP Doris Anthony had given me. I knew from the first time I used the product that it was different from anything I had ever used before. I decided I would sign up as a Consultant to purchase product at a discount, then look into the business to see if it would be a fit for me. For the next few years, I “played” Arbonne. I attended a few NTC events, trainings and local meetings. I found myself letting life get in the way. Without the proven, duplicatable system we have in place today, I seemed to have been missing a sense of direction. Thank you, Arbonne, for all of the awesome Business Aids and trainings we now have. It is all there waiting for us at the touch of a button. In April of 2002, my mother found out she had cancer. In 10 short months, on Feb.16, 2003, she lost her battle on earth and God took her home. I knew then that life is too short and the little things we sometimes let get in the way just do not matter! I believe that it was at this time I was preparing for what I describe as the journey of a lifetime. At the time, I was only days away from losing all of my downline. One night, in mid-October of 2003, I received a phone call from ENVP Kathe Rush — and to think, I almost did not pick up the phone. Kathe started painting the picture for me once again. She layed it all out on the table and told me to think about it. I remember think- Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President Karen Kesler Region; Prague, OK karen kesler ing she had to be crazy but I knew she believed in me and I remember feeling excited for the first time in a long time. I went to my husband and told him all about the phone conversation I had just had with Kathe. I did not know what my husband would say. After I told him about the conversation, he looked at me and asked me what I was waiting for. I truly believe that Kathe’s call was the turning point in my life. I knew that it was time to get busy. That month I got my District back and moved into first-step qualification for Area. continued ... Karen with husband, Bobby, and 2005 Kolache Princess, daughter Kelsey. REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT ” Karen and members of her Houston team. RVP-in-qualification Dana Slinkard, AM Cristi Hufstedler and EDM Kris Smith. That was when my journey truly started and I learned a few lessons along my road to success. The first lesson is you must be a team player. Next, learn how to take yourself out of the equation and focus on how to help your team meet their goals. Remember, your team only does what they see you do, so never expect your team to do anything you are not willing to do yourself. Also, make selfdevelopment a priority. Spend time reading and listen to positive training tapes. This has always spoken volumes to me. Learn to step out of your comfort zone and step up to the plate. This has helped me move forward with my Arbonne dream so I could make it a reality. Staying focused and writing down my goals helped me and my team make first-step qualification for Region in October 2005. We made it to Region in November. Thank You, God. To ERVP Doris Anthony: Thank you for introducing Arbonne to me. I will be forever grateful. To ENVP Kathe Rush: Thank you for believing in me, keeping me focused, being my Arbonne mom and setting me straight when I needed it. I will always love you for that. To ENVP Joyce Owens: Thank you for always cheering me on. To Chairman and CEO Bob Henry, President Rita Davenport, Executive Vice President Stian Mørck, Sr. VP Product Development & Field Events, Candace Keefe and the Arbonne Home Office staff: Thanks for all the hard work, dedication and support. To Founder Petter Mørck: Thank you for your vision and for the wonderful world of Arbonne. To my AMs, Dee Ann Capron, Kerri Carsten, Dick Canada and Marci Stager: Thank you for your leadership and strength, and for staying focused. I am very thankful for you and I look forward to being at your Mercedes-Benz car presentations. To my DMs, Traci Jaggars, Casey Howard, Joe Lucarelli, Shelly McDaniel, Jana Walker, Lindsay Goodson, Kim Tiemann, Kieth and Stacy Bonner, Michelle Twiggs, Mindy Ragan, Melanie Clemens, Mitze Richenson, Candice Woodard, Traci Sellers, Darlene McBride, Nita Flemimg, Christy McFarland and Megan Crenshaw and Phyllis Yazzie: Keep focused on your goals and dreams. I know you can do it and I will see you at the top. To all of my Consultants and Clients: You are truly a blessing and you are the heart of my business. To my husband, Bobby: Thank you for the support and for being there through the ups and downs, putting up with the unkept house and lack of home cooked meals. To my kids, Kyle, Kelsey and Madison: Thank you for the support and understanding when I was gone on a business trip, or missed a ball game. Thank you for always being my biggest cheerleader! To my friends, family and dad: Thanks for your support and your belief in me. To my mom: Thank you for teaching me to be strong and to never give up. I know you are looking down from heaven and saying, “Good job, girlfriend.” Mom, I will always love and miss you. A final message to everyone on their Arbonne journey: The only way you can fail is if you quit. The testimonials in this story reflect the actual experience of an individual, are anecdotal only, and may be atypical.
