E Y E O N eoa A R B O N N E A GREAT LIFE NEW RVP When I started this business two years ago I knew I would one day write my Eye on Arbonne story. I dreamed about what mine would say, what pictures I would use and who I would thank. There was no question I would get my Mercedes-Benz and no doubt I would be an RVP because I knew from the moment I decided to start the business that Arbonne was in my life for a reason. Arbonne has changed my life in so many ways. I drive a white Mercedes-Benz, earn a potentially great income, I am home to raise my children and I get to work in my pajamas. While all of those are wonderful, the best aspect of becoming involved with Arbonne is that I am a different person now. Arbonne has given me a sense of purpose I never felt before. I know this business changes lives. Arbonne gives people hope and I am so blessed to be a part of that. I was introduced to the Arbonne products when I was in college. I struggled with acne and had tried everything on the market. Arbonne was the first product line that improved my skin, so of course, I fell in love. In 2002, I began teaching in Edmond, Oklahoma and somehow in the midst of talking in the photocopy room, I overheard that Carrie MacDonald was going to be able to stay home with her children by selling Arbonne. I immediately went to find her, so I could get some Arbonne products! I signed up as a Consultant for the discount and contemplated doing the business, but at that time, all I could think was I did not want to be a salesperson. I did not realize then that teaching high school sophomore history was all about selling! GO FOR Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President Sara Langum Region; Oklahoma City, OK sara langum Sara with her Why: Daughter, Tate, 2 and son, Smith, 9 months. Things quickly changed for me when I got pregnant with our first baby. I enjoyed teaching, but did not love it enough to leave my daughter every day. I began looking for an opportunity to stay home, but nothing ever felt right. I had introduced the Arbonne products to my friends and family, and my mother-in-law was also sharing the products and accumulating quite a bit of sales. One day, Carrie MacDonald called me and said, “Sara, if you do a little work, you would be in qualification for District Manager.” The light bulb went off and I felt an immediate tug at my heart. I attended a training event in Dallas where President Rita Davenport spoke and she sealed the deal for me. I remember leaving the room so overwhelmed with the feeling this was what I was supposed to do. I called my husband and said, “Honey, I am going to do Arbonne and possibly make enough money so I can stay home.” He said something like, “Okay, honey, whatevcontinued ... Sara with husband, Jeff. Sara with her family picking up the new Mercedes-Benz. s u c c e s s strategy: NEW REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT “ Make the decision and then work through your fear. ” Sara’s daughter and future ENVP, Tate, picking out her own white vehicle. er you want to do.” He thought I was crazy, but I jumped in with both feet and within six months I left my teaching job to be home with Tate. At the time, I did what I set out to do. I left my job, but then I got complacent because I was happy with where I was. I knew I wanted to promote to RVP, but I did not have the sense of urgency and diligence I had before. For many months, being an Area Manager was good enough for me. Area Manager was not a bad place to be, but I knew it was not where I was supposed to be. I had longings in my heart I knew I could only fulfill through Arbonne; I wanted to do more, be more and give more. It is said that the greatest deterrent to a great life is a good life. I had a good life, but I was not stretching my faith, or pursuing my full potential and the purpose God had placed in my heart. So, I made a decision. I decided I was not going to settle for “good enough” anymore. I was going to get out of my comfort zone, work through my fears, trust in my faith and make it work. I wanted it for my family and my team, and because I knew this was my purpose. It was not about participating in the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus Program or possibly making a lot of money; those are just bonuses. I wanted to help others reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams, too. I have so many amazing people to thank. To Executive Area Manager Sandy Langum: I love that you are on my team; but more importantly, I love that you are my mother-in-law! I know a huge reason Why you do this business is just to help me. Thank you. To Area Manager Keysha Curtis: To think we did not even know each other nine months ago is almost unbelievable. This business touches lives, changes families and it is what drives you. I love you like a sister and I thank God for our friendship. To Area Manager Carrie Langum: Your drive and focus are incredible. You inspire and motivate me to be a better leader and Christian. To District Managers, Amy Broadbent, Brandi Thomas, Carly Evans, Sandy Carter, Robin Howard, Yvonne Intveld, Merideth Pistulka, Cristie Lebsack, Dianne Hinton, Mallory Peeler, Lesley Peeler, Linda Squires and Flip Hassett, as well as all the Consultants on my team: You all are a huge reason Why I am an RVP. To ERVP Carrie MacDonald: From the moment I stepped into this business, you told me over and over I would get here. It is amazing what someone can accomplish when they have people who believe in them so much. I love you dearly. To my parents, grandparents and entire family: Thanks so much for your unwavering support, encouragement and free babysitting. To my husband, Jeff: You are an incredible father and husband. I love you so much. To my children, Tate and Smith: This is all for you. The testimonials in this story reflect the actual experience of an individual, are anecdotal only, and may be atypical.
