FOR JOY
My heart leaps for joy as I consider the gift that Arbonne has been to our family. Never in a million years could I have envisioned myself in the place I am today — an RVP in this amazing company, potentially making a lucrative living and having the time of my life doing it! I was initially introduced to Arbonne at a kindergarten picnic in May 2005 by my friend and fellow mom, now ERVP Marian Horne. Under the principles of the Arbonne=REsults™ reach out method, Marian handed me the infamous little skin care sample bag and asked me to try the antiaging skin care products inside. A self-confessed product junkie, I willingly agreed, warning her that the chances of wanting to replace my current skin care products were slim to none. I further reminded her that my mother was employed as a makeup artist with a well-known cosmetic company. (I would later learn, after joining the business, that my response nearly caused Marian to retrieve the little skin care sample bag!) Upon returning home and opening the bag, I was immediately impressed by the overall presentation of the product set. I faithfully followed the sixstep routine and was even more impressed with the way my complexion looked and felt. Two days later, I found myself in the midst of what I call “the monthly Webster state of the union” with my husband, Jim. Inevitably, each month brought the same dreaded reminder that I needed to tighten the purse strings and stick more diligently to the family budget. Eager to change the subject, I suggested we take our two children, Abbie Lee, 6 and James, 4, on an outing to enjoy the irresistible spring weather. Jim jogged as I roller-bladed, while pushing the kids in the jog stroller. At one point, my husband ran up to me and said, “Lee Ann, I hate to admit this because I am sure it is going to cost me money, but your face looks so much better after using that ‘orange stuff’!” Thrilled that I did not need to cut these Arbonne products out of the budget, I called Marian to tell her how much I loved and wanted the

NutriMinC® RE9® anti-aging skin care set. To my surprise, she began to share her passion for her business with me and revealed how simple, but highly effective, the Arbonne=REsults™ method was. A few days later, Marian, NVP Kristi Ayres and ENVP Angie Lyle came to my house to do a business Presentation for a group of my friends. Thinking of all the friends I would see at a barbecue that very evening, I told Marian that I needed 10 little skin care sample bags right away! I began my search for only four business builders who displayed an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a large sphere of influence. My goal was, and still is, to duplicate my training with my four business builders. As I dove head first into the business, I was pleasantly surprised to

discover how closely the process of sharing Arbonne paralleled what I had enjoyed years earlier as an intern in campus ministry. In both cases, I reveled in the opportunity to meet one-on-one with individuals and to encourage them to consider their life goals, so they can begin living and enjoying them forever! President Rita Davenport has lightheartedly quipped that Arbonne is actually a self-development course disguised as a skin care company. I can certainly attest my business’ contribution to my own personal growth. I have been stretched in a variety of ways, from learning how to create an e-mail contact group and disciplining myself to return phone calls, to setting up a projector in preparation for a Presentation! By far, the biggest advantage has been the opportunity to own my own business without sacrificing precious time with my two children. I can do Arbonne and live the life I love at the same time, taking my kids to afterschool activities and cheering them on in their sports. Additionally, I can even continue to pursue my own hobbies and interests, from decorating to tennis, while simultaneously offering the people I meet healthy products along with a plan for the potential to have financial freedom. Ten months after starting my Arbonne business, I had such fun picking out the cutest little convertible, a Mercedes-Benz CLK 350! As I drove my new Mercedes-Benz off of the lot, my heart leaped for joy and overflowed with gratitude for being blessed with the greatest team. They made this achievement possible. To my unbelievable husband, Jim: Your support has been amazing! You called me your ENVP before I even knew what that was. I love you so much and look forward to what God has in store for us! To my precious kiddos, Abbie Lee and James: I know it seems like the phone is attached to mommy’s ear sometimes, but thank you for your patience. It is because all of you that I do Arbonne, and we will have many more choices because of this short-term investment. To Mom and Dad: Where do I start? You have supported me from day one with Arbonne. Thank you for always keeping the kids, and for being two of my first business builders. I love you all so much! Mom, the Ocean Club is waiting, and Dad, we need some more money for Blackberry Farm … 76th is coming soon!
To ENVP Kristi Ayers, ENVP Angie Lyle and ERVP Phil Troutman: Thank you so much! Y’all have paved the way for Knoxville. I am very grateful for you. To ERVP Marian Horne: Thank you for thinking of me to try these awesome products. I have had a blast with you! To Dee Dee and Ma-maw: Thanks for everything. To my first “go getter,” AM Lydia Glafenhein: I am sure you will be an RVP before this is even published. You are awesome. To DM Laura Bledsoe: Your drive and persistence are amazing. See you in that snazzy two-seater soon. To AM Beth Robertson: Wow! You are the definition of business savvy. Get ready to buy some gum and a guitar. To AMs, Lori Chandler and Caprice O’Kelly: You all are awesome! Café MiAroma will be busting with new Mercedes-Benzes soon. Godspeed, Chattanooga! To Lee Johnson: Get ready to set St. Louis on fire. To Sandy Bond: I am so thrilled you are on my team. Pick out that little car, it will be here soon. To Janelle Browning: I am so proud of you already! Do not give up. Choices are on the way. To my FOAs (friends of Arbonne), Lyn Collier, Dee Ann Bower, Angie Moore, Sarah Attkison and Susan Young: Thanks for your support! Just say when. To God be the Glory!
