MEANT
FOR ME
At age 47, I was faced with the grim prospect of having to cope with osteopenia. A bone density test revealed that I was a high risk for the disease osteoporosis, which is the deterioration of bone mass that can often lead to brittle and breakage-prone bones. The thought of spending my life in great pain was enough incentive to get me started on my road to preventative education. I needed to know why this happened to me. Seeking knowledge provided me with the hope that I would be able to battle this disease naturally. This was not my first brush with a future of impending poor health. When I was 42, I was told that my neck looked like that of a 65-year old. Later I discovered it was due to spinal stenosis. The lifelong treatment prescribed was medication and eventually, surgery. At the time, I had no intention of being bound to prescription drugs or being forced to undergo invasive surgery. Through education, I made changes to my diet and lifestyle. Since then I have been medication and surgery-free for two-and-a-half years. In the process, I acquired a healthier and more active way of life. Still, the best thing that came out of all this was my introduction to Arbonne. Arbonne provided a wonderful product that literally changed my life. I like to believe that I chose Arbonne on purpose because of the quality of their products and the integrity of their company. Little did I know that it would take me one step further and lead to a successful business. Neither of my two good friends ever dreamed of having a home-based business until Arbonne came along. Both Maddy Nichols and LuJean Johnson shared the same convictions as I did — that of achieving optimal health and longevity through pure, safe alternatives. We thought we had mastered the healthiest ways to achieve our health goals. Not true! We have been so humbled to discover “skin health,” thanks to Dana Collins’ tape on the subject. It has been an exciting journey for all of us to learn and teach others the importance of what you put on your skin. Arbonne’s purity produces favorable results too. Women

actually can see and feel a difference in their skin. Acne scars have diminished on my face. With Arbonne we found that solution and much more. Within eight short months of joining Arbonne, Maddy and LuJean are both Area Managers. They do not intend to stop there … they see themselves as National Vice Presidents! And I believe they are capable of achieving it! Not only am I a product of the product, my entire family has been “Arbonnized!” My boys use the Arbonne Clear Advantage system and the Sea Salt Scrubs. My husband uses all the products including the Prolief Natural Balance Cream. In fact, my 18-year-old son John even asked me to give his girlfriend an Arbonne makeover. When we were finished, he could not hold back saying, “Wow, you are smokin’!” In cross-generation translation it meant, “Wow, you are beautiful!” That is the positive impact Arbonne has had on all of our lives.

Another positive experience happened while I was out driving with my 14-year-old son Adam. I saw a car that caught my eye and asked Adam what make of car that was, for my future reference. He said, “It is a Camry — but Mother, you are getting a Mercedes!” The excitement that Arbonne has created in my household is incredible. My family has grown up around a home-based business because I was with another network marketing company for 13 years. We’ve learned teamwork, a strong work ethic and the benefits of loving what you do. My family has also witnessed the freedom and flexibility that comes from working at home. In fact, my “bonus” daughters, Carrie and Jenny, also fell in love with Arbonne. It was the best gift I had ever given them. Hiring Carrie as my assistant made it possible for me to coach 14 people and hold several meetings monthly. We are both indebted to Arbonne for the opportunity to have success in our lives. When I first started with Arbonne I did not know a career change was about to take place. Cecilia Stoll, Arbonne ENVP, believed I would promote to Area Manager in my first three months with Arbonne. My response was, “No, I do not think I will make first step Area in my second month of business. My oldest son’s wedding is next month and I have several commitments to my other business.” In an e-mail afterwards, Cecilia informed me that I had in fact completed first step Area my second month, writing: “After almost 11 years in the business, I have a great hunch about people. I also have the spiritual gift of discernment which has been wonderful in this business. That is why I had a feeling about you doing first step Area this month. I almost knew it already, even if you did not know it yet!” I cannot believe I am the first RVP in Kentucky! Our upline support is the best. Deanna Herrin and Cleary Clarke visited Kentucky in June, having only 20 Consultants as potential leaders. We have since multiplied to almost 200 out of sheer enthusiasm. Deanna taught me the importance of coaching … an invaluable tool in developing future leaders. The extensive audio training, conference calls and wonderful web sites provided by everyone involved with Arbonne have given my
team the edge to move forward rapidly. These tools have been a source of knowledge and inspiration for us all. Heartfelt thanks go out to all the ENVPs, NVPs and RVPs who make it easier for us to build a business in record pace through the exchange of knowledge and experience. Thank you, Vicki Kapron, for your wonderful insight and friendship and most importantly for referring me to Cleary Clarke when I was curious about Arbonne. Thank you, Cleary, for starting me on the skin care program after I signed up with Arbonne! Thank you, Deanna and Cecilia: Your leadership and belief in me inspired me to go forward at full speed. To President Rita Davenport: You embody what every woman strives to be. To my team leaders: Thank you for your integrity, coaching, self-discipline, patience and passion! To my Area Managers Maddy Nichols and LuJean Johnson: You are Godly, gracious women of influence and my dearest friends who have the most supportive husbands in Bill and Kirk. I would like to express my gratitude to my District Managers, Diane Knox, Vicki Kapron, Judy Nichols, Jennifer Barlow, Lance Hibberd, Linda Alley, Oletta Tucker, Chris Dwyer, Rachel Morgan, Janice Olgetree and Judy Uhey; and include in this distinguished list our new District Managers (in December): Linda Peace, Pat Evans and Jennifer Mattingly. To all of my Consultants: Thank you for making our team great! Finally and most importantly, I would like to thank my husband, Wade: You encourage me, provide love unconditionally and pitch in to make things easier when I am “up to my eyeballs” in work. I love you! Thank you, Arbonne for making it possible for me to do what I am meant to do!
