OF THIS BUSINESS
NEW RVP
I have been in the beauty industry for almost 24 years. Some may say it was the career of a lifetime. I have had various business ventures associated with this industry, including owning a cosmetology school, a hair salon and a women’s clothing store. So, I pride myself on having a good understanding of the inner workings of my industry. I was first introduced to Arbonne about seven years ago by my husband, who is a financial investor. One of his clients passed on some skin care product samples with a message that she wanted me to try them and then find out what I thought about them. She really wanted to speak to me about doing the business, but I was absolutely not interested. After all, I loved my career and I was not looking for another job opportunity. Over the past three years, I have welcomed a couple of Arbonne Consultants to be guest speakers and host Arbonne “Opportunity” Presentations. Despite this, my mind was very closed off and I refused to even allow them to approach the subject with me. Instead, I would send my educational director, so that I would not have to talk to them at all about the business. It was not until my friend, who is now ERVP Deanna McMurran, approached me, that I felt an obligation to listen to what she had to say. Deanna has supported me in my other businesses for the last

18 years, so the least I could do to support her was to attend at least one meeting. Thankfully, I did. That was all it took — one Arbonne meeting became the eye-opening experience I needed to get me started on a journey of a lifetime. Once I finally allowed myself to hear the business plan that was laid out for us, I was in! I knew right then and there that it was an

opportunity anyone would be crazy to turn down. I am not proud of the fact that I did not give it a chance in the beginning. But, I can only hope that my situation serves as a lesson to others to keep an open mind because they can never know what opportunity of a lifetime may cross their path. It is truly one of those things that seem too good to be true, and opportunities like this only come around once, maybe twice, in your lifetime. Trust me, you do not want to be the one who let it slip through your fingers. I shudder to think that I almost let it get away! I have spent my entire life training, sharing and teaching what comes so natural to me in the field of cosmetology. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping people look and feel their very best. It seems as though I have been being prepared all of my life for this special gift of Arbonne. To my husband, Don: Thank you so much for your support throughout this incredible journey. I could not have done it without you behind me! To my daughter, Samantha: Thank you for being there for me, and for being so understanding of all the times I had to be away building my Arbonne business. You are my reason Why! To my staff: Thank you all for being the kind of staff anyone would be proud to work with. I knew if I had to be out of the office that things would continue on as if I was there. To my SuccessLine: I would like to say thank you to each one of you. You all have been such a great support and I could not have done it without you! I love you all and I cannot wait to return the support.
