THE GIFT THAT
KEEPS ON GIVING
NEW RVP
Wow, what an amazing road my family has traveled over the course of 16 months! Prior to January 2004, I had been praying for something to come into my life that would enable me to use the gifts and talents I have been blessed with, while allowing me to supplement our family income. I enjoyed a teaching career for several years, but when our first child was born, my husband and I decided it would be best for me to stay home and care for our blossoming family. I knew that I needed to be with my children, but I also wondered how it would all work out financially. I was living out the all-American dream of marrying my “prince charming” and having a family. My husband, Scott and I were extremely blessed with three wonderful children; but as the years went by and our children grew to school-age, I found myself caught up in the busy life of a full-time mom. I was so thankful to be home with my family, but felt that I needed an outlet to be with other adults. One wonderful lady whom I have known for 15 years, Courtney Dobbs, introduced me to an opportunity that would allow me to do just that. Over the years, Courtney and I have spent many hours talking about our dream of owning a business geared toward helping others. When she came to me in January 2004 and approached me with the Arbonne opportunity, I realized my prayer had been heard. Someone was listening! Courtney had discovered a gift that would enable her to help others, remain a full-time mom and also help with the financial needs of her family. She invited me to attend an Arbonne Presentation at her Aunt’s home. Courtney said to me, “I think I have some information you really need to hear.” Little did I know that she was offering me a gift!

Without asking any further questions, I attended the Presentation with Courtney, and at that point, “I” was listening! My life and the lives of my family members have not been the same since that night at Eunice Ray’s cottage when I signed on with the Arbonne team here in Louisville, Kentucky. I truly believe that God’s plans for us are higher than the plans we make for ourselves. We need to work toward figuring out what that purpose is and embrace it. For me, I believe that purpose is to help make a difference in the lives of others and possibly help them get closer to figuring out their purpose.

Immediately, I began sharing the products and the skin care information I was learning. Helping to educate others in life-changing matters was the most empowering feeling I had ever experienced. This is when I realized that an Arbonne business was perfect for me. I shared the gift of Arbonne with my family and friends first, and from them, my team emerged. We all hit the ground running and have not looked back! I am so thankful for every person on our team. Without each member, I would not have been able to promote to Regional Vice President. My hope for each team member is that through Arbonne, personal goals will be met and hearts’ desires will be realized. When I look back over the past 16 months and try to pinpoint the successes, the one thing that stands out in my mind is the advice given by ENVP Cathy Epperson. I told her I was absolutely ready to start my Arbonne business and she looked at me with a very serious face and said, “Marcie, whatever you do, do not wait until you know it all. Learn while you earn.” So that is just what I did. Another thing that comes to mind when I think of my business is to always persevere. Be thankful for each day. Remember, you will always have “ups” and “downs,” the trick is not letting the “downs” keep you from your success. Invest and share your time, knowledge, love and support to those you directly bring into the business. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing those you love succeed. It is a beautiful thing! I talk about Arbonne as a “gift” you can give. That is truly what it is and I challenge each of you that do not know about Arbonne to do some serious research and open the “gift” yourself. I want to leave each of you with a little something to keep in mind. My family has a theme song, which reminds us and inspires us to listen to the one voice that counts.
When you hear voices that tell you that you are not capable of winning, you should always remember the one voice that counts. Remember: Someone is always listening!
