THE TRUTH
I was originally promoted to RVP in September of 1997. I truly thought that I had “arrived.” I had assembled the dream team. We had so much fun working and playing together. Unfortunately, over the next couple of years of my life and business, things seemed to unravel as my dream team experienced one tragedy after another. We were a tightly knit group and we grieved over our losses together. During this time my marriage ended and my life was falling apart at the seams. My dear friend, AM Kuryne Lee appeared at my home one day and said, “Pray and stay in God’s word and the right thing will come to you.” It was one of those lifetransforming moments. I knew in my heart that God was speaking through her and what I heard Him saying was, “Focus on me.” Over the last five years I have spent a lot of time doing just that because I had a lot of healing to do. Many days I just pulled the covers over my head and did not do anything. Thankfully during this season of my life those on my team were still selling and building their businesses and I was able to have the potential to earn a paycheck. I am so thankful that I joined this company because during this entire healing period my sole income came from Arbonne. To me, this says volumes about network marketing! Two-and-a-half years ago when I lost my Region I felt like my business was over. The morning I was to meet with my Managers to tell them the news, my dear friend, Fran called to share these thoughts which I believe God had placed in her heart for me: “Forget about things that have happened before and don’t dwell on the past. Look for new opportunities in front

of you because God has a way of making a path through the desert and water run, even in the wasteland.” On that day, I dedicated my business to God. Frankly, I asked him for a business that could only be explained by the fact that it was built on faith. From that point on and for some time, it seemed like things got even tougher. Thank you, ERVP Meloni Barkley for reminding me that we never doubt God’s will when sales and sponsoring is good and when we are earning cool trips and prizes. By the same token, we must not question when things are not going as well. My faith was built in the valleys of challenge and adversity. There have been times when I have been paralyzed by doubt

and fear. It was through spiritual, emotional and financial bankruptcy that I learned to count on God’s provision. There was nowhere to look but up! If throwing in the towel was an option I would have done so long ago. The fact of the matter is that we know the truth already. There is a healthier way to work and live. We have products and an opportunity that has the potential to change people’s lives. I believe that there is a responsibility that comes with that knowledge.
