E Y E O N A R B O N N E THE JOY IS IN THE JOURNEY Life is a rollercoaster ride, with some hills to climb, some loop-de-loops and some hills to go down. Yet we stay the course. When the ride is over, we realize the joy was in the journey. My Arbonne journey has shown me great joy. The financial gains follow behind the friendships, the personal growth and the ability to help others go after their dreams. One could say I introduced myself to Arbonne in June 2006. I went across the street to say “Hi” to a new neighbor. Her mother happened to be there and I commented on her beautiful skin. A glance passed between mother and daughter, and a week later NVP Chris Mahi came across the street to my house carrying a “little gold bag.” I did not actually use the products until Chris reintroduced me to Arbonne in November 2006. That time I took the products out of the bag, used them and fell in love! Arbonne’s pure and beneficial products were exactly what I was looking for in skin care. Chris came over and shared the Arbonne opportunity with my husband and me, and I signed up that night. Being a third grade teacher, I chuckled to myself as a saying came to mind, “When the student is ready, the teacher will come.” I was ready! For you see, I had been praying for a financial opportunity to present itself to our family. My husband, Bob, had been employed by corporate America and was one of the top salesmen of his company when they downsized and left him out of a job. He then decided to start his own contracting business which took him on the road more than we liked. On the first day of school, in August 2005, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer and had to take the year off to undergo treatments. One year later found us with two kids in college, me returning back to teaching full-time and my husband working away from home. We needed a plan B, and now! God does have a Cristin with her Why: Chyane, Tanner, Bob and Ciarra. Cristin with husband, Bob. cristin marshall Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President Cristin Marshall Region; Cedar Falls, IA sense of humor though, because I thought plan B would be presented to Bob, not me! So began my journey with Arbonne in November 2006. I was able to work my Arbonne business alongside my teaching job, fitting it in the nooks and crannies of my day. I made it to District Manager in three weeks, and with the efforts of my amazing team we were able to complete qualification for Region in just five short months! On April 30 2007, I became a Regional Vice President. continued ... Cristin with her sister, DM Carla Ripp. success strategy: If you can desire it, you can do it. If you can do it, then do it now! REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT We all know that life is short, but as a cancer survivor I learned to do things now – not wait! This attitude has stayed with me on my Arbonne journey. It does not mean that you have to do things quickly. It just means that you have to do it! Be persistent, be consistent. Arbonne has a great system in place. You get to be a “copycat” and duplicate what your upline does. The steps are simple: Prospect — find a few friends to join you; present — share the Arbonne opportunity; duplicate — your friends find a few friends, who find a few friends, who find a few friends. These steps will guide you on the rollercoaster to success. So if you are reading this Eye on Arbonne story, trying to decide if this is a fit for you, I say, “Come on board, do not wait in line.” This could very well be the ride of your lifetime that you have been waiting for. First, I want to thank my family for your belief that I could do this and for all your help. You are my Why. To my husband, Bob: Thank you. You are my lifelong friend and one true love. Your love and support has carried us through many rollercoaster rides. It has been an incredible journey! I cannot wait until the day I can retire you to a beach in Florida where we can continue to dream. To my children, Ciarra, Tanner and Chyane: You are amazing! You are my greatest blessings. Thanks for always believing in me and holding me accountable to achieve my goal. I love you. To my neighbor and dear friend, NVP Chris Mahi: Thank you for bringing that “gold bag” across the street. The encouragement, leadership and time you have spent with me has been over the top. You are such an abundant giver and source of inspiration, a true blessing in my life. To ENVP Lynn Hagedorn: Thank you for the path you have carved out for us to follow in your footsteps. You lead by example with integrity, grace and determination. I feel lucky to learn from the best! To my sister, DM Carla Ripp: You were my first business partner. You said “sure” before I told you what it was! Your trust in me is amazing. I love it that we get to spend so much more time together. I cannot wait to help you reach your dreams. Love ya! Cristin with upline: ENVP Lynn Hagedorn, NVP Chris Mahi and AM Linda Wiley. Cristin with members of the team and her new Mercedes-Benz. To my sisters-in-law, AM Karen Bender and AM Lisa Marshall: I knew that you both could take this to the top! I could not have done it without you. It is so much fun working with people you love. Your cars are just around the corner! To DM Kerry Kloos: You are my sister of the heart. You are always so excited when good things happen. Now I want to make them happen for you; then we celebrate! To DMs, Holly Frank, Kelly Johnson, Amy Kelly, Lisa Krammer, Cris Loiz, Aymee Patton, Denise Rooney, Heather Wessel, Jackie Wessel, Debbie White, Lesley White and Nicole White: I feel privileged to get to be your team partner. You each bring a gift on this journey. RVP is a step away for all of you. To my Consultants: You are wonderful. Stay the course and you, too, will reach the top! The testimonials in this story reflect the actual experience of an individual, are anecdotal only, and may be atypical.
