                               MEMBER BENEFITS

PAID-OUT ACCOUNT, PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PROTECTION
COVERAGE:
Members are insured for up to one year against loss and damage to rental property they
have paid out while a member of this program as long as they maintain membership in
RAC Benefits Plus. Coverage includes loss by fire, lightning, windstorm, flood, riot, civil
commotion, and burglary with visible signs of forced entry.

One membership in RAC Benefits Plus covers all merchandise a customer has paid out
from Rent-A-Center while a member of the program.

Burglary losses must be supported by a police report stating there were visible signs of
forced entry to the locked building or room where the stolen property was located. In the
case of burglary from a vehicle, the items must have been removed from a locked trunk.
Fire losses must be supported by a fire report that designates the origin of the fire, what
caused it and the extent of damage.

To help support a claim, it is important to take Polaroid pictures of how entry was gained to
the member’s residence. In the event of fire, the pictures should show the extent of the loss
to the residence and the merchandise. If repairs are made prior to being able to take
pictures, a work order from an apartment complex and/or receipts from a hardware store
showing material purchased to fix the point of entry can also be accepted.

Merchandise must be located at the member’s residence when stolen, damaged or
destroyed.

Claim checks are mailed to Rent-A-Center’s home office. The store will be credited for the
invoice cost of the stolen or destroyed merchandise. A letter will be sent to the store
notifying them that the claim has been approved.

COVERAGE TERM:
Coverage against all covered losses under this benefit is effective from the date the
customer pays off his/her rental agreement(s) and continues their membership in
RAC Benefits Plus. The member must maintain their membership in the program after
they have paid out for the coverage to continue. Coverage ends on each covered item after
one year from the pay out date or when membership in the program is discontinued.

The sample Insurance Certificate found on the next two pages will be mailed to the
customer upon them paying off their agreement and agreeing to remain a member of
RAC Benefits Plus.

                               MEMBER BENEFITS

ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT PROTECTION
ACCIDENTAL LIFE COVERAGE:
RAC Benefits Plus members automatically receive up to $5,000 Accidental Death
insurance benefits. Benefits are paid only in the event of an accident. Losses due to
sickness, disease and natural causes are not covered.

Coverage divides equally by the number of persons listed on the rental agreement. If two
people are listed on the rental agreement each is insured for $2,500.

Coverage is effective immediately with no waiting period or physicals required.

ACCIDENTAL DISMEMBERMENT COVERAGE:
Dismemberment benefits are paid according to the schedule listed on the insurance
certificate found in the back of the RAC Benefits Plus Benefit Welcome Booklet. A copy
of this certificate is also found on pages 100.07 - 100.09 of this procedure manual.

Claim checks for both Accidental Death and Accidental Dismemberment are mailed to the
store to present to the member or their survivors.

INSURANCE BENEFIT GRACE PERIOD:
A grace period of thirty-one days will be granted for each period falling due after a full
RAC Benefits Plus payment is received. If a payment is not received before the expiration
of the grace period, no claims occurring during that grace period will be honored and the
insurance certificate shall be deemed to have terminated on the payment due date.

BENEFICIARY:
Death benefits are automatically paid to the estate of the member. There is no need for
the member to complete a Beneficiary Form unless they want to specify to whom the
benefit will be paid to in the event of an accidental death.

To designate a beneficiary, the customer must complete a BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION form
(see page 100.06). If a member does designate a beneficiary, this form is kept in their
customer file in the store. The BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION form on page 100.06 can be
printed and used in the event a member wants to list someone specific.

ONLY COMPLETE THE BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION FORM IF THE MEMBER
WANTS THE ACCIDENTAL DEATH BENEFITS PAID TO SOMEONE SPECIFIC
RATHER THAN THE ESTATE. It is not necessary to have every member complete a
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION form.

                                                                              Page 100.05
                             Beneficiary Designation Form

The Accidental Death benefit is automatically paid to the member’s estate. A
beneficiary designation is not necessary unless the member wants their Accidental
Death benefit to be paid to someone specific. The form below can be printed out
and completed by the member. They are considered the “Insured” on this form.
Once the form is completed it should be kept in the members file at the store. If
there is no Beneficiary Designation in the member’s file, the benefits will be paid to
their estate in the event of accidental death.

within 20 days after a covered loss begins. If notice cannot be given within that time, it must be given as soon as reasonably
possible. The notice should include the Insured Person‟s name and the policy number. Send notification to the Policyholder.
Claim Forms: When we receive the notice of claim, we will send forms to the claimant for giving us proof of loss. The forms will be

soon as reasonably possible without affecting the claim. The additional time allowed cannot exceed one year unless the claimant is
legally incapacitated.

received. We will pay any other benefit due immediately after we receive the proof of loss.
Payment of Claims: We will pay any benefit due for loss of an Insured‟s life: (a) according to the beneficiary designation in effect at
the time of the Insured‟s death; otherwise (b) payment will be made to the Insured‟s estate. All other benefits due and not assigned

receives it. We will be relieved of further responsibility to the extent of any payment we made in good faith before the Policyholder
received your request.

                                  MEMBER BENEFITS

Involuntary Unemployment Insurance (Payment Protection Coverage)
COVERAGE:
Payment Protection helps make rental payments for qualified RAC Benefits Plus members
who lose their job through being fired, laid off, and out of work due to a labor dispute.
Coverage applies only to the first person named on the rental agreement.

Disability claims are not covered under this program. The member must be involuntarily
unemployed and qualify for state unemployment benefits.

The member must be unemployed for 30 consecutive days before they qualify for benefits
through this program. Benefits are paid retroactive to the first day of unemployment. The
checks are mailed directly to the store to apply to the customer’s account. An example of
proof of 30 days of unemployment is a copy of the member’s check stub from the state
unemployment office.

Coverage limits are as follows:
 $75.00 maximum per rental agreement per month.
 Total payments may not exceed $1,000.00.
 The maximum benefit period is 4 months.
Continuations are paid as frequently as proof is received that the customer is still unemployed.
Again, an example of this is a copy of the check stub from the state unemployment office.

One membership in the program covers all products a customer is renting. Therefore, if a
customer has multiple agreements, they are all covered under this benefit through one
membership.

ELIGIBILITY:
RAC Benefits Plus members must have been working at least 30 hours per week for six
consecutive months at the time of unemployment to be eligible for benefits. The member
could have had multiple jobs in the six (6) month time period, but they must have gone from
one job to the next. In the event of a claim, the member must provide information on each of
those employers.

Members returning to work after receiving Club unemployment benefits become re-eligible for
unemployment benefits after working full time (30 hours minimum per week) for 8 weeks.

Only one membership in the program is required for the paid out item(s) to be covered.

This benefit covers repair costs (including parts and labor) of all items that were covered
through the original manufacturer’s warranty. Without this protection the member would
be responsible for all cost of repairs after they own the product.

In the event of a claim, the store will handle the repairs in the same manner as they would
if the member was still renting from them. The Product Service Protection benefit will take
care of the cost of the repair with your service department. If it costs less to replace the
merchandise than to repair it, this benefit will reimburse the store the invoice cost of a
similar like item. The reimbursement check will be sent to the home office.

The customer will receive a certificate (sample found on page 100.15 – 100.17) after they
have paid off the merchandise and have continued their membership in the program.

COVERAGE TERM:
The Product Service Protection will only cover items that were paid out while the customer
was a member in RAC Benefits Plus and as long as they maintain that membership.
Coverage ends when the customer discontinues their membership in the program or after
one year after the item is paid out.

                               MEMBER BENEFITS

LIABILITY WAIVER-PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OPTION
COVERAGE:
As a member of RAC Benefits Plus a customer now has replacement coverage through
their Loss Damage Waiver Coverage. In addition, they are able to continue to rent towards
ownership as though the loss did not occur.

To receive this replacement benefit, the member must have accepted loss damage waiver
protection on the merchandise they are renting from Rent-A-Center, be current on their
rental payments and be a current RAC Benefits Plus member.

In the event of a covered loss, the store will replace the member’s merchandise with like
kind product, and will initiate a new rental agreement on the replacement product at the
same rent and with the same remaining terms to pay out as was left on the original
agreement.

In the event of a loss, the store does not file a claim with Benefit Marketing Solutions. This
benefit is governed under the same terms as the Loss Damage Waiver coverage. No
check will be issued to the store. This benefit helps the store because they now can keep
the customer on their books so they continue to receive the rental income, LDW fees and
RAC Benefits Plus fees from them.

One membership in RAC Benefits Plus covers all merchandise a customer has on rent.

COVERAGE TERM:
Coverage against all covered losses under this benefit are effective as long as the
member’s LDW fees and RAC Benefits Plus fees are paid current or have not exceeded
the period where they would be covered through the grace period. The same conditions
that are covered through the LDW coverage apply to this benefit.

Coverage does not apply to loss or damage due to misuse, abuse, scratches, vandalism,
mysterious disappearance, abandonment, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

                                                                                Page 100.18

pre-existing conditions and there are no waiting periods before qualifying for the discount.
Members have immediate access to the network from the day they become a member.
Members of RAC Benefits Plus can locate a participating provider in two ways:
  1. They can look up a provider through the internet by going to rentacenter.com and
clicking on the RAC Benefits Plus link. They will need to enter their Member
Number (the number printed on their temporary or permanent card. Once they are in
the site, they can select which type of provider they are looking for and any specialty
within that practice. For example, if Dental Benefits are selected, the member can
look for general practitioner, orthodontist, oral surgeon, etc within that area. The
member will also need to enter their zip code, and the number of mile radios they
want the system to search (i.e. 10 miles, 15 miles, 20 miles). The system will
automatically display the five (5) nearest providers; however, the member can
     request it to display more.
  2. The member can call the RAC Benefits Plus toll-free Member Services line to request
the information. This number is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Central Standard Time and Saturday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Central Standard Time.
  3. If a member’s preferred physician is not already a participating provider, they can call
the Member Services toll-free number and nominate him or her. They can also
complete this process online. In either situation, the member will need to provide the
physician’s name, address and telephone number.

COVERAGE TERM:
The member has this coverage as long as they maintain their membership in the
RAC Benefits Plus program. This applies both to while they are renting and
even after they have paid out the merchandise.

Be sure the member understands that, this program is not insurance. Members must
pay for services at the time they are rendered by the provider. This program will
provide savings over the normal cost of a visit.

                                                                              Page 100.19

MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
COMPLETING THE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT:
Initially, a Membership Agreement must be completed manually for every customer who
joins the RAC Benefits Plus program. A completed Membership Agreement is illustrated
on page 200.04.
Eventually, the computer system will print two copies of the RAC Benefits Plus
Membership Agreement.

There are two copies of the Membership Agreement. One is kept by the store in the
customer’s file; the other copy is given to the customer. The store will need to submit their
copy of the Membership Agreement to Benefit Marketing Solutions in the event of a claim.

The Membership Agreement has a section for customers to designate they either accept
or decline (waive their rights) membership in RAC Benefits Plus. It is strongly
recommended that all customers complete the form whether or not they become a
member of the program. This will give you documentation for the customer’s file that they
were offered RAC Benefits Plus and could potentially protect the store in the future.

THE RAC BENEFITS PLUS WELCOME BOOKLET:
Once the customer joins the RAC Benefits Plus program and signs the membership
agreement it is important that they receive a Welcome Booklet. This Welcome Booklet
provides customers with information on the insurance benefits, discount benefits, claims
filing procedures, instruction on how to use the benefits, and forms and phone numbers
that enable them to take advantage of all benefits in the program. Customers should be
instructed to keep the Welcome Booklet in a safe, readily available location.
Store personnel should look at the Welcome Booklet as the “product” the customer
receives when they join the RAC Benefits Plus program. It is extremely important that
they give each customer that joins the program a Welcome Booklet. Otherwise the
customer cannot take advantage of everything this program has to offer them.
Likewise, it is important that the Welcome Booklet is not give to customers who do not join
the program. There are brochures available that briefly describe everything in the RAC
Benefits Plus program. This should be used when explaining the program to a customer,
and can be given to the customer if they want to think about it before they join, or if they
want to talk to their significant other before becoming a member.

WHEN THE BENEFITS ARE ACTIVATED
Members can begin using the benefits in the RAC Benefits Plus immediately. Their
coverage for all the benefits in the program begins as soon as they make their first
payment with the exception of the Paid-Out Account Product Replacement Protection and
the Paid-Out Account Product Service Protection. These benefits only apply after the
member has paid out their rental agreement.
If the customer remains a member of RAC Benefits Plus after they have paid out, and
they have no other active agreements, the only benefit that ceases to be in affect is the
Involuntary Unemployment coverage. Since this benefit helps make payments toward the
member’s rental agreement if they are involuntarily unemployed, there is nothing for this
benefit to cover. All other benefits will remain in effect and the member’s coverage in the
Paid-Out Account Product Replacement Protection and the Paid-Out Account Product
Service Protection will begin.
The Welcome Booklet contains a perforated temporary card the customer can remove
from the back cover to begin using their benefits immediately. They must present this
card to utilize many of the benefits in the program such as prescription discounts, savings
at participating physicians, dentists, eye care providers and chiropractors; and discounts at
Jiffy Lube and Pep Boys. The member will receive permanent plastic cards in the mail
within two weeks after they join RAC Benefits Plus. Along with the cards the packet the
customer receives in the mail will include a welcome letter, and examples of the nearest
five participating providers for all the discounted health benefits.

                                                                               Page 200.05

                      RAC BENEFITS PLUS PAYMENTS

RAC BENEFITS PLUS MEMBER ACTIVATION
Before each payment is processed High Touch will determine if the customer status
should be renting or non-renting customers. If the status has changed, High Tough will
update the customer with the correct status. This will allow for the current payment to be
filed to the correct revenue stream for reporting purposes and for reporting status changes
to Benefit Marketing Solutions.

The line “-Club Fees” will identify the RAC Benefits Plus payment. To change any
information on this line store personnel will need to highlight the appropriate area on the
line. Once highlighted store personnel will be able to update any applicable information
regarding the RAC Benefits Plus payment.

Once a receipt is filed, if the customer changed from renting to non-renting or vice versa,
the customer status will be changed as of that business date. Then member transactions
will be generated and sent to Benefit Marketing Solutions. If the customer changes from
renting to non-renting, a termination of renting and an activation of non-renting will be sent
to Benefit Marketing Solutions. If changing from non-renting to renting the opposite
transactions will be sent.

RAC BENEFITS PLUS MEMBER REACTIVATION
Store personnel can reactivate customers that have stopped their membership in
RAC Benefits Plus for more than 30 days and want to rejoin through the same process
as enrolling a new member. The customer is given a new Welcome Booklet and the
number on the card becomes their new membership number.

If the member has been terminated less than 30 day prior to reactivation, the process is
the same except the customer will retain their previous membership ID number and will
not get a new Welcome Booklet.

While processing a rental payment, three club functions can be performed. Activation of

RAC BENEFITS PLUS & LDW COVERAGE:
If a customer does not have LDW on all active agreements, then they cannot participate in
the RAC Benefits Plus program until all agreements have LDW active. An example of
the message that will be displayed is below.

Once user selects “C” to continue, another window will display asking to activate waiver on
all agreements, example below. If the user answers yes to this question, waiver will be
activated all active/pending agreements and club will be activated. If the user quits from
the receipt without filing the receipt, RAC Benefits Plus will not be active and all
agreements will remain unchanged.

program, High Touch will terminate the customer from RAC Benefits Plus.

EARLY PURCHASE OPTIONS

their last active rental agreement, High Touch will prompt store personnel with a question
to determine participation in RAC Benefits Plus. If the customer wants to continue to
participate, no changes will be made. In this case, High Touch will send Benefit Marketing
Solutions a payout transaction for the items paid out so the Paid-Out Account Product
Replacement Protection and Paid-Out Account Product Service Protection benefits can be
activated.

program, High Touch will terminate the customer from the Club.

                 TERMINATING MEMBERSHIP (continued)
CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE
RAC Benefits Plus membership can be terminated at any time through customer
maintenance. Store personnel can terminate the program by selection the option on the
screen for the Club and then updating.

TRANSFERS
When a RAC Benefits Plus member transfers from one store to another, the entire
customer record is moved to the new store along with any customer-based Club
information. Due to incompatibilities between customer-based Club programs and
agreement-based Club program, transfers will not be allowed from one state to or from
California.

When a transfer occurs, High Touch will automatically terminate participation in
RAC Benefits Plus at the old store and activate the customer at the new store.
All Member information will remain the same when transferred including the
RAC Benefits Plus membership ID number. Benefit Marketing Solutions will receive a
termination transaction from the old store and an activation transaction from the new
store.

If the customer chooses not to maintain their membership in the RAC Benefits Plus
program, High Touch will terminate the customer from the program.

For all states where RAC Benefits Plus is not being offered (Indiana, Wisconsin,
Nebraska and Puerto Rico) the Club membership will remain terminated. This will prevent
these customers from automatically becoming active on the program until it is finally
offered in these states.
