HISTORICAL TIME SERIES (HTS) FOR TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND CHARTING
Time series data comprising historical stock market quotes from independent sources is becoming increasingly popular among technical analysts and chartists. Telekurs Financial can send clients time series data going back as far as ten years from a central database.
The historical time series from Telekurs Financial offer clients the following benefits: – Automatic updating: on request, the time series will be resynchronised with our database. – Clients receive the time series data inclusive of adjustment factors so that any events affecting prices can easily be traced. – The adjustment factors supplied allow clients to examine the time series either from an historical point of view or in terms of the present. – Periodic delivery of new prices enables clients to update their time series databases. – Historical time series data is supplied in XML format.
Data offering
Telekurs Financial’s historical prices database currently processes and updates over half a million listings with the corresponding time series from 200 stock exchanges and 400 contributors. The data is updated from the database and enriched with adjustment factors and cross-referencing information. The principal price data fields maintained in the Telekurs Financial database are: opening price, day high and low prices, last and valuation prices, plus the date and any corresponding adjustment factors.

Details of the other price data fields are available on request. Clients can choose their own tailor-made history packages by selecting the desired stock exchanges, markets and instrument types.
Delivery
The initial load of historical prices is delivered on DVDs/CDs. Data is supplied in accordance with clients’ pre-selection (by exchange, market and instrument type). In addition, the periodic delivery of new prices (daily or weekly) allows clients to update their databases automatically. Once again, the data corresponds to clients’ pre-selection. Delivery is by File Transfer Protocol (FTP) via the Internet (www.tkfweb.com) or extranet (www.tkflink.com).
