and guidance to the disenfranchised. The NDA embraces the
philosophy that health care is a right — not a privilege — of every
American. Today, the NDA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that is the premier
dental organization for ethnic minorities. It represents a family of 10,000
dentists, students, hygienists, assistants, and spouses. It has alliances
with many other organizations, institutions, and government agencies
that share its mission. Through scholarships and support programs, the
NDA promotes dentistry as a viable profession.
