Dr. Paul Dav Dr. Paul Dav is is a general dentist, and has been in private practice in San Diego since 1979. A 1972 graduate from Wittenberg University with a B.A., he graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1975. Dr. Davis spent two years in the U.S. Navy where he received extensive training in oral surgery, endodontics and restorative dentistry. He has done postgraduate training in esthetic dentistry, orthodontics and advance dental implant reconstruction. He has been restoring implant rehabilitated patients since 1980 and has lectured nationally on implant dentistry many times over the last 15 years. Dr. Davis is a co-founder of both The San Diego Dental Implant Group and the Rancho Santa Fe Dental Implant Study Club.

Dr. Bruce Johnson
Dr. Bruce Johnso ohnson Dr. Br uce Johnson maintains a full-time private practice limited to periodontics and implantology in Poway, California. He received his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1978 and his Certificate in Periodontics from the Wadsworth VA Medical Center Residency in Periodontics in 1981. Dr. Johnson has lectured nationally and internationally on topics of implant dentistry, periodontics, esthetic periodontics, and pain control to many audiences including the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Western Society of Periodontology. Dr. Johnson has published several clinical manuscripts involving implant dentistry and pain control.
Dr. Tom Massarat
Dr. To Massar assarat Dr. Tom Massarat attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in 1985, before attending Northwestern University Dental School from 1985 to 1989. He continued his education with the Northwestern University AGD program for an additional year of advanced study, and then entered the Endodontic program at Northwestern in 1990. He graduated from the Endodontic program in 1992 with the AAE Graduate Student Award. Dr. Massarat has been practicing in the San Diego and Bonita areas since 1992 and 1993 respectively, where he specializes in Endodontics. He is married and has two sons, ages 5 years and 2 years.
Dr. Robert Matkovich
Dr. Ro Matk ich atko Dr. Ro b er t Matkov ich graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1977 with Honors. He completed his General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in La Jolla, California. Dr. Matkovich served as the Chief of Dental Services at Hillside Hospital in San Diego for ten years and is currently in private practice in San Diego, CA. Dr. Matkovich is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists and a Fellow and founding member of the World Congress of Microdentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, th International Association of Orthodontics, and the American Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Michael A. Miroue graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1971, first in his class, summa cum laude, with Dr. Michae icha Mir iroue the Alpha Omega Award for Scholarship. In 1975, Dr. Miroue received both his Certificate and Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Washington in Seattle. He was honored with the Riedel Award in recognition of his thesis. Dr. Miroue is presently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and Alpha Sigma Nu (The National Jesuit Honor Society).

Dr. Pe No Dr. Peter Nordland received his specialty certificate in Periodontics at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. Presently, Dr. Nordland maintains a full-time periodontal and implant practice in La Jolla, CA focused on cosmetic regenerative periodontics. He holds many titles from universities worldwide, and lectures internationally on techniques of cosmetic regeneration of soft tissue and bone around teeth and dental implants. He also teaches hands-on-microsurgical techniques in periodontal plastic surgery and papilla regeneration. He is considered an authority on periodontal plastic surgery.

Dr. Ro Dr. Dan Ro ber ts recieved his DDS degree from USC. He practiced general dentistry for four years before completing his postdoctoral residency in Periodontics at Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Roberts has practiced peridontics in the North County area for over 15 years. He is a member of the CDA, ADA, California Society of Periodontology, and Rancho Santa Fe Dental Implant Study Club. Dr. Roberts’ goal is to service the needs of his referring offices by supporting treatment plans, providing timely communication and returning a happy patient. His specialty is cosmetic connective tissue grafting, crown lengthening, dental implants and treatment of moderate to advanced periodontitis. Dr. Roberts resides in Encinitas with his wife, Kathy, and two children, Addy and Joseph.

Dr. Cath Sant athy anto Dr. Cathy Santone graduated with honors from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1995. She has operated her own practice in Encinitas, CA since 1995, and specializes in a wide variety of cosmetic dentistry procedures. Dr. Santone is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and currently holds the office of President of the AACD Southwest Affiliate in San Diego. She is one of the founding members of the San Diego Advanced Dental Study Group .

Dr. Gr Simpso impson Dr. Gr aham Simpson received his DDS degree from Emory University Dental School in 1980, and completed the Post Graduate Prosthodontics Program at Emory University in 1982. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Media Relations Committee, and Chairman of Legislative Committee for the San Diego Dental Society, as well as being a cofounder and past President of the San Diego Prosthodontics Society. He currently serves as a clinical instructor for the San Diego Mini-Implant Residency Program. Dr. Simpson has been in private practice in San Diego since 1982, specializing in Prosthodontics with emphasis in TMD, implant and esthetic reconstruction.

Dr. Sidne Spe idney Dr. Sidney Spector has practiced Periodontics in San Diego Since 1979, after three years practicing in suburban Chicago and teaching at the Loyala University School of Dentistry where he completed the Periodontal specialty program. He received his DDS from Indiana University in 1974 and Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in 1970. He has served on the Board of Directors of both the San Diego County Dental Society and the California Society of Periodontists. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Mr. Jim Pannigal
Mr. Jim Pannig annigal Mr. Jim Pannigal graduated from St. Vincent College , Latrobe, PA in 1986 with a degree in Biology. Jim then joined the United States Navy to become a Naval Aviator. Earning his wings in 1988 he flew the EA-6B tactical aircraft, based on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Saratoga. He served with distinction and was awarded five decorations for valor. Choosing to leave the service to enter the business world Mr. Panigall joined Burkhart in 1996 as Branch Manager in the San Diego area. He has dedicated himself to support local dentists in their efforts to continually enhance their skills, and enjoy success in the practice of dentistry. His service as advisor to Summit Dental Study group allows him to effectively respond to these needs in the dental community and is supported by Burkhart through their company motto, “Integrity. Knowledge. Client Success.” Jim and his wife Christa reside in San Diego with their four children.
