Frank Baum, author of the Wizard of Oz, reads to and does crafts with the children at the Library Book Sale at the Library – come early for the best selection of books. Wizard of Oz books will also be available Wizard of Oz book discussion group for adults at the Library facilitated by Vivian Rosenberg Elaine Horn, nationally renowned Dorothy look-a-like, tells stories and performs skits for children and adults at the Library “Munch at Munchkins” fundraiser in the historic Culver Hotel in downtown Culver City Visit local businesses and food establishments to see how they support the Culver City Reads program Wizard of Oz costume parade and contest, “Over the Rainbow” drawing for great prizes, and “Under the Stars” screening of the Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz movie at Veteran’s Park Visit the Friends of the Library booth at the Fiesta La Ballona weekend fair at Veteran’s Park for great buys on books and other merchandise “Over the Rainbow and Through the Tornado: The Wizard Explains Weather”. Surprise speaker at the Library!
