Dear Learners,

I have great pleasure in presenting you the „Common Prospectus for Short-term
Training Programmes‟ for the benefit of young learners wishing to upgrade their
knowledge.

„Singhal Institute for Training and Education Trust‟ (SITE Trust) has been
established to disseminate and share knowledge for skills building through
education, training, research, publication and other activities for the welfare of the
community at large without discrimination of caste, creed etc. The benefits of the
Trust are open to all irrespective of caste, religion, race, sex etc. The Trust will
not carry on any activities with an intention of earning profit.

The motto of the Trust is “Striving for Continual Improvement”.

Our Trust recognizes the importance of sustainable and affordable high quality
short-term training programmes for skills building.

Learners have option to choose any of the modes from the following:

   (ii)  Distance Learning Training

1    LIST OF TRAINING PROGRAMMES, Programme objectives and

1.1     Code TP001 – “ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
Awareness”
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to know the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
and related concepts. Upon completing this training course, the participant
should be able to understand:
- Quality concept,
- Eight Quality Management Principles
- Requirements interpretation
- Effective implementation of ISO 9001:2008 QMS
- Importance of documentation, management review, internal audit and
continual improvement.
Course contents – Introduction about ISO, Quality concept, Quality
Management Principles, Step-by-step approach in implementation of ISO
9001:2008, General and documentation requirements, Management

1.2    Code TP002 – Seven Tools of Quality Control
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to know the seven universal problem-solving tools of quality control.
Course contents – Stratification, Check sheet, Scatter diagram, Histogram,
Ishikawa diagram (Cause and Effect diagram), Pareto diagram, Control charts (X
and R charts)

1.3     Code TP003 – ISO 9001:2008 QMS Documentation
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the documentation requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality
Management System, structure of QMS documentation, and developing QMS
documentation including quality manual and procedures.
Course contents – Structure of QMS documentation, Purpose and benefits of
QMS documentation, Developing QMS documentation, Quality manual, Quality
policy, Quality objectives, Procedures, Work instructions, Forms, Quality plan,
Approval and issue of documents

1.4    Code TP004 – Strategies for Effective Learning
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the strategies for effective learning. Everyone tells what to
study, but how … a big question.
Course contents – Contents of the programme include Making your memory
work for you, Learners types, How to conserve your storage memory, Key
approaches for effective learning, Making best use of your time, Effective

confidently, Improve your perception. Learner will be able to understand the
MOST POWERFUL METHODS OF LEARNING like „4R‟ method and „SQ3R‟
method and TESTED MEMORY SKILLS including Loci method … and various

1.5    Code TP005 – ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems
Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 environmental
management system. Upon completing the training course, the participant should
be able to understand:
- Environmental management related concepts,
- Requirements interpretation
- Effective implementation of ISO 14001:2004 EMS
- Importance of documentation, management review, and internal audit.

requirements, Environmental policy, Planning, Implementation and operation,
Checking, Management review, IAF/ISO transition plan, Practical approach in
implementation, Checklist, Certification / registration process

1.6    Code TP006 – Total Quality Management (TQM) Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand TQM concepts.
Course contents – Introduction to TQM, The Process approach, Various
concepts, tools and techniques, TQM practices.

1.7    Code TP007 – Six Sigma Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the themes and key concepts of Six Sigma System and
also the Six Sigma Roadmap – DMAIC approach..
Course contents – Introduction – Six Sigma, Important features of Six Sigma,
Goal of Six Sigma, DMAIC approach

1.8    Code TP008 – Elements of Good House Keeping – 5-S Japanese
Practice
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand key concepts of 5-S Japanese Practice.
Course contents – Introduction, 5-S Japanese Practice – Seiri, Seiso, Seiton,
Seiketsu and Shitsuke, Introduction 5-S Audit.

1.9    Code TP009 – Eight Areas of Wastes (3 Ms and 8Ws – Muda, Mura
and Muri and eight types of wastes)
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the 3 Ms – Muda, Mura and Muri and eight areas of

wastes, thus after undergoing this training, the learner will be able to save lot of
money by taking appropriate action in his/her organization.

1.10 Code TP010 – 14-Principles of the Toyota Production System
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the 14-principles of the Toyota Way. Toyota Motor
Corporation is one of the leading auto manufacturers in the world and Toyota first
caught the world‟s attention in 1980, when it became clear that there was
something special about Japanese quality and efficiency.

the TPS in your organization

1.11 Code TP011 – Complaints Handling Process
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the importance and objectives of complaints handling
process. The participants will acquire skills to handle complaints handling
process in a systematic way. Complaints handling process is a vital tool to attain
customer satisfaction.
Course contents – Introduction, Dealing complaint in an organization in a
systematic way, Features of complaint handling process.

1.12 Code TP012 – SA8000:2008 Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the requirements of Social Accountability International
Standard SA8000:2008.
Course contents – Introduction about SAI and SA8000:2008, Requirements of
SA8000:2008, Effective implementation, Certification / registration process

1.13 Code TP013 – ILO-OSH 2001 Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the requirements of occupational safety and health
management system ILO-OSH 2001 published by International Labour
Organization
Course contents – Introduction – ILO and ILO-OSH 2001, Requirements – ILO-
OSH 2001.

1.14 Code TP014 – OHSAS Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the requirements of occupational health and safety
management systems (such as OHSAS 18001 and IS 18001)
Course contents – Introduction – Occupational health and safety, Terms and
definitions related to occupational health and safety, OHSAS requirements.

1.15 Code TP015 – Communication Skills and Techniques
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand and learn communication skills and techniques.
Course contents – Purpose of communication, Types of communication,
Requirements of good communication, Public speaking, Speech preparation,
Effective public speaking, Presentation skills, Confidence development

1.16 Code TP016 – „Right to Information‟ Awareness
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the salient features of the RTI Act 2005 and how to use
„right to information‟ for the welfare of the society and as a tool against
exploitation and injustice.

Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the salient feature for success in interview.

1.18 Code TP018 – Making Speech Presentation in a Better Way
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand how to make speech presentation in a better way.

1.19 Code TP019 – Group Discussion
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the salient features of group discussion techniques.

1.20 Code TP020 – Organizational Accountability at the Workplace
(IS 16001:2007)
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the requirements related to organizational accountability at
the workplace.

1.21 Code TP021 – Making Best Use of Internet
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand the salient features regarding using internet in a powerful
way.
Course contents – Opening email account, World Wide Web, Blogs, Social
sights, Search information effectively from internet

1.22 Code TP022 – Export Documentation
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand and learn preparation of trade documents in the context of

export operation, such as commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin,
insurance certificate, carrier‟s declaration, consignment note, letter of credit and
bill of exchange.

1.23 Code TP023 – Departmental Enquiry
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand and learn the insights of the departmental enquiry.

1.24 Code TP024 – Business Writing
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand and learn the business writing tips.

1.25 Code TP025 – Office Management
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to understand and learn office management.
Course contents – Under compilation


Important Note – The learner‟s learning will not be limited to the course contents
mentioned above. Efforts shall be made to advise more learning. We shall also
advise the reference material as well as websites/web pages/blogs etc to the
learner.

More training programmes will be introduced in future. We welcome suggestions
in this regard.

Learning Instructions

Learning instructions, material and assignments for the training are specially
designed by professional expert. When a candidate submit his/her application
(see Form no. F001) for admission to a particular training programme, the
candidate will be informed his/her enrollment number. Upon receipt of enrollment
number, the learner is required to submit his/her „Pre-Training Synopsis‟ (as per
details given in F002).

Pre-Training Synopsis submitted by the learner will be reviewed by the trainer.
Thereafter learning instructions (including learning material and assignments
details) will be advised to the learner. Learners, opting distance learning mode,
will be advised learning instructions by email. Learners, opting face-to-face

training, are required to visit the Training venue and meet the trainer on the days
advised to him. It is expected that every learner should also spend some time (at
least 20 hours) on internet and visit websites and web pages. Details of web
pages and websites will be advised by us.

Learners are required to submit home assignments (as per details given in F003)
given to them from time to time. Generally there will be five home assignments.

Upon completion of the home assignments, the learner will be required to submit
„Post-Training Synopsis‟ (as per details given in F004) and Feedback (as per
details given in F005).

Evaluation Marks

Evaluation marks are divided as under:

Pre-Training Synopsis – 10 Marks
Home Assignments – 60 Marks
Post-Training Assignments – 25 Marks
Feedback – 5 Marks

A learner is expected to earn at least 60 marks for successful completion of the
training.

Award on successful completion of the training

Upon successful completion of the training, the learner will be awarded with a
„Certificate of Successful Completion of the Training‟ (as per F006). Upon
securing 80 or more marks in the training, the learner will also be awarded with a
„Training Participation Achievement‟ memento.

FEE

The training activities mentioned in the Prospectus are carried out to achieve the
objectives of the Trust. There is no intention of earning any profit out of the
training activities. However, the fee is being levied on participants to meet the
partial expenses.

Fee is as under (from a participant residing in India):
Registration fee – Rs. 100
Training Fee – Per training per participant – Rs. 800

Fee is as under (from a participant residing outside India):
Registration fee – US$ 5
Training Fee – Per training per participant – US$ 25

Trustees are authorized to grant relaxation in the training fee to a deserving
participant. Physically handicapped candidates, participants from economically
backward family background, female candidates, and faculty members of
educational institutions will be granted relaxation in the training fee up to 25%.

Organizations are encouraged to sponsor their employees to undergo training
with us. Organizations, sponsoring more participants, will be provided relaxation
in fee.

IN-HOUSE TRAINING PROGRAMME

The trust can organize short term in-house training programme (such as one day,
two day programme) on the specific needs of organizations. Such programme
may be organized at the premises of the organization. Organizations are
encouraged to organize in-house training programme with the help of the trust to
train their employees. Please contact the Managing Trustee in this regard.

Pre-Training Synopsis

Upon receipt of enrollment number, the learner is required to submit his/her „Pre-
Training Synopsis‟ as early as possible. The Pre-Training Synopsis should cover
details of the learner and answers to the following questions:

Learners, opting face-to-face mode, are required to submit typed or handwritten
synopsis duly signed. Learners, opting distance learning mode, are required to

F003

Home Assignment

Learners are required to submit home assignments (generally five assignments
in every training programme) given to them from time to time. Home assignments
submitted by the learner should mention enrollment number, name, training topic,
training code and training mode at the top of the home assignments. Learners,
opting face-to-face mode, are required to submit home assignments in their
handwriting. Learners, opting distant learning mode, are required to submit word
file of home assignment by email. Home assignments should be submitted
within prescribed time limit advised by the trainer.

Post-Training Synopsis

Upon completion of the home assignments, the learner will be required to submit
„Post-Training Synopsis‟ (preferably typed).

„Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be a report from the learner what he has learnt
during the training. It is expected from the learner that he should prepare a
detailed report of his learning.

„Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be prepared in three copies, out of which two
copies should be sent to the Trust – one for evaluation purpose and other for
Trust Library. One copy of the „Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be retained by the
trainee. Soft copy of the synopsis may also be sent to the Trust.

Feedback

Along with „Post-Training Synopsis‟, the learner should also send „FEEDBACK‟.
The „FEEDBACK‟ should cover details of the learner and answers to the
following:

Minimum Eligibility

There are no eligibility criteria for undergoing a particular training. It is up to the
candidate to decide the training he/she wishes to undergo. However, it is
expected that candidate should have good communication skills in English and
computer literate. He must be able to access information from internet.

Important Point

Face-to-face mode training is available in AJMER at present. Efforts are being
made to set up training centres at other places.

Distance Learning mode training provides an opportunity to learn from anywhere.

„Singhal Institute for Training and Education Trust‟ (also known as „SITE Trust‟) is
set up by Keshav Ram Singhal by a deed of trust dated 6 November 2009. The
Benefits of the Trust are open to all irrespective of caste, religion, race, sex etc

Study Centres

The Trust is interested to open „Study Centres‟ in different cities (within India) for
imparting Face-to-Face Mode Trainings. Interested professionals / organizations
may apply to the Managing Trustee with necessary details (such as infrastructure
available for training and qualifications/experience of the trainer etc.). Existing
training institutes are encouraged to start study centre at their premises.

Study Centre‟s share will be 85% of the fees collected from the participants of the
centre. 15% of the fees will be retained by the Trust being administrative
expenses of the Trust.

Study Centres will also be encouraged to enroll candidates for distance learning
mode trainings for which 25% of the fees collected from such candidates will be
sent to the centre coordinator of the study centre as its share to cover marketing
and other expenses.

Professionals / institutions interested in opening Study Centre are required to pay
the following:

Non-refundable Application Fee – Rs. 1,000
Refundable Security Deposit – Rs. 5,000

In the Face-to-Face mode training, Pre-training Synopsis and home assignments
will be evaluated by the study centre‟s trainer and evaluation marks awarded by
the study centre should be advised to the Trust office with necessary records.
Post-Training Synopsis and Feedback shall be evaluated by the Trust.

Study Centre will be encouraged to start trainings in new subjects for which
proposals may be submitted to the Trust with necessary details, such as, name
of the training, contents, objective of the training, reference material, trainer‟s
details etc.



Placement Cell

The Trust will help the participants in proper placement and to send their bio-data
to prospective employers and renowned placement agencies.

including manager, deputy manager, officer – Bank of India). Worked in various
departments (Deposits, Advances, Operations, Foreign Exchange, Personnel
etc.).

Certificated Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). MM Grade Scale II
officer (January 1990 – 1996).

Handled Bank of India, Banskho Branch as Manager for two years.

Delivered lectures at the Bank of India Zonal Training Centre, Patna.

Participated in various ZCC / ZSC meetings.

Participated in Departmental Inquiries as Presenting Officer, Defence
Representative.
