					            Indiana University Library Faculty Council
                 Research Committee Report
                         for the
                 2006/2007 Academic Year




The Indiana University Library Faculty Council Research Committee’s
accomplishment for the 2006/2007 centered around putting together a
session for the 2007 Indiana University Librarians Day. The theme of
Librarians Day was “Future of IU Libraries”. Librarians Day was held at
Indiana University Bloomington on June 1, 2007, and had librarians
represented from all eight of Indiana University’s campuses.


The members of the 2006/2007 Research Committee communicated and
agreed on a presentation concentrated on just how to make time for
research. The Committee agreed on the themes of how to decide upon
what to do research on, how to get started with research, time
management of research endeavors, as well as pinpointing potential
publications as well as funding sources.

Dragomir Cosanici of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis’
Ruth Lilly Law Library and Research Committee member, agreed to do
such a presentation. The session was well-received and attended. The
