President’s Corner
It’s almost time for that jolly old gent to make his appearance in the cold again, but as long as the weather
stays unseasonably warm then steelhead fishing won’t be such a bear. The streams are still warm and the
levels are back to normal. Enjoy the weather while it lasts because the cold weather is on the way and that
jolly old gent will be very cold on the stream.

Work up an appetite for the December 13th meeting as this is our annual Christmas dinner. As usual the
club will provide the main course and refreshments while the members are to bring a dessert, appetizer or
salad. More information follows on page 2 of this newsletter. Spouses are welcome to attend. We also will
have our swap meet at the meeting also.

The state held a hearing on Wednesday, Nov 29 about buying out the commercial fishing licenses for Ohio
fishermen. This would eliminate netting of fish in Lake Erie. We will keep you informed of the progress of
this bill.

May you all have a great Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Good Fishing,

Bill Grake
President, Firelands Fly Fishers
