Calculate your 2006 Salary Rate 1. Calculate your “Current Salary plus COLA” a. Look up or calculate your Fall 2005 annual salary rate. [You can compute this rate by multiplying the monthly gross salary reported on your December 31 paycheck by 9, provided you did not have any additional income besides your normal faculty salary.] b. Compute your “current salary plus COLA” by multiplying your fall 2005 annual salary rate by 1.02.  1.02 = Fall 2005 Annual Salary Rate Calculate your “Adjusted Floor Salary” a. What is your current rank? b. What is your current year in rank? c. Look up your Base Floor Salary in Table A (over): d. Disciplinary adjustment: $0.00 [Disciplinary adjustments are contingent of fall 2006 enrollment growth.] e. Add 2c and 2d to get Adjusted Floor Salary = Current Salary plus COLA 2. 3. Your 2006 salary rate is the LARGER of your Current Salary plus COLA (1b) and your Adjusted Floor Salary (2e). It is unlikely Payroll will be able to enter the necessary changes for your new salary to appear in your January paycheck. Your February paycheck should reflect your new salary rate and include the difference missing from January’s check.
