     Staff Issues and Concerns – Kathleen Murray V.P.

     UPG Staff Association Website maintenance -- Bryan Valentine (periodic updates)
                                Reported an increase of hits to the site.
                                Always open for recommendations

     Communications – Brandi Darr/Marie Seftas/Cheryl DePaolis/Ginger Halucka
                                 Nothing to report at this time.
     Activities – Rebecca Sorice
                                 Heart Association – Nancy Young
                                        Heart Walk Oct 7, 2006 at Kennametal Tract, Latrobe, PA
                                               Total donations - $848.00 thus far
                                               (Red Dress pins, necklace raffle & Pot-of-Gold raffle)
                                               Thank you to Cal Hill for donating the necklace.
                                               Will be selling hanging baskets for Mother’s Day

                                   Scholarship Fund – Kathy Murray – It is still on going

     b.     Volunteer work:               Mary Louise Hill & helpers will continue
                                          their visits & doing nails for the elderly
                                          Need more volunteers
                                          May get pets for the elderly to pet for the day
                                          Next visit - May 16, 2006

                                          Bryan Valentine visited Florida thru Habitat for Humanities

     c.     Staff Parking for 2006:       It will be implemented starting Fall 2006.

                                 Warm up America Foundation – blankets for needy
                                 Year long project/program – 10 volunteers of staff & students

i.   Articles for Staff Association: Tom Horan will summit to Oakland next week

j.   Recycle Containers:         Linda Soltis – proceeds to benefit the Staff Association
                                 Collected 2 tons of paper receiving $8.15 for the first month

k.   Campus Job Postings:        Joyce Bucchi
                                 E-mails to be sent to staff from Human Resources on
                                 available job postings here at UPG

                                 Pitt Source is also available for Oakland job postings
