Central Park History: Central Park Central Park spans two and a half miles from 50th street to 110th street and half a mile from Fifth Avenue to Eighth Avenue The park is home to numerous restaurants, playground, the Metropolitan Museum, the Central Park Zoo, and Wollman Rink. The Met is a universal museum: every category of art in every known medium from every part of the world during every epoch of recorded time is represented here and thus available for contemplation or study- not in isolation but in comparison whit other times, other cultures, and other media. NEIGHBORHOODS OF MANHATTAN Downtown Manhattan Midtown Manhattan Uptown Manhattan Greenwich Village. CHINATOWN New York City’s Chinatown, the largest Chinatown in the United States. With population estimated between 70.000 and 150.000. Chinese immigrants, though in recent years the neighborhood has also become home to Dominicans, Puerto Rico, Burmese, Vietnamese, and Filipinos among others. Greenwich Village and Noho. Greenwich Village is an area from 14th street to Houston Street in Manhattan, in the early decades of the 20th century the word got around that the Village was the place to live “the free life” as it was then called. It is now home to Washington Square Park and NYU. Noho is a newly designated historic district famous for its up- and-coming fashion designers and artists. My Favorite Place My favorite is: Central Park, because is beautiful have everything and sport and recreation,I like Metropolitan Museum, the Zoo, Belvedere Castle , because is beautiful. I want to visit Greenwich Village and Soho, Little Italy because we eat spaghetti Italy .
