IDF TO OFFER FREE DISASTER PREPAREDNESS BREAKFASTHURRICANE SEASON 2006: IS YOUR BUSINESS PREPARED?

The Iberia Industrial Development Foundation (IDF) will be hosting a FREE Seminar titled: “Hurricane Season 2006: Is Your Business Prepared?” on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 8:00 am –11:00 am. This FREE BREAKFAST will be held at the Holiday Inn, located on Highway 14, in New Iberia. Those interested in attending should call the IDF at (337) 367-0834 to register—Seating is limited! This seminar is intended to provide local businesses with the necessary information on how to develop a disaster plan, safeguard important records, protect their workplace and what actions to take in the aftermath of a disaster, such as a hurricane. A panel of speakers will provide vital and insightful information to participants on how to best prepare businesses from unforeseen emergencies or disasters. Some of the topics to be discussed include: Insurance, Temporary Power, Computer Data Protection & Recovery, Communications, Business Continuity and much more. Participants will each leave with a FREE “Iberia Parish Business Owners Disaster Tool Kit,” which includes both the Institute of Business and Home Safety’s Open for Business publication as well as an local resource guide to plan for, deal with, and recover from either potential or realized threats that Iberia Parish business owners may be confronted with this upcoming hurricane season.
