Breast Cancer Awareness

colleagues ran for the cure on Oct 3, 2010. They joined more than 170 000 people across
Canada, who ran to support breast cancer research and awareness.

Terra Marketing Group participated in the 2010 CIBC Run for the Cure in Edmonton on Sunday,
Oct. 3, 2010.
"We know that breast cancer is one of the greatest concerns affecting our mothers, sisters,
daughters and friends," Jennifer, a company spokesman said. "We want to do whatever we can to
help offer them hope that this disease can, in our lifetime, become a thing of the past.

this month to release information about Terra Marketing Group that is in addition to their
corporate website.October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Run For The Cure is a
nationwide event to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. More than 10,000
people participated in the Edmonton Event and more than 170,000 people participated in similar
events in most major Canadian cities.
"We were proud of the turn out at the events," Jennifer said. "This is a great way to raise
awareness for the foundation. It was also a lot of fun."
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation works to find better treatment methods, ways to prevent
breast cancer and eventually to find a cure. They are also involved in any number of breast
cancer awareness programs. More than 23,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in
Canada in 2010 alone.
The Terra Marketing Group team raised a total of $31,000 on Sunday, more than any other team
in Edmonton. At the end of the race, their CEO was asked to address the crowd and thank them
for their participation.
"We were proud at the incredible turn out at our local event," Jennifer said. "It shows that the
people of Canada are ready, willing and able to take on breast cancer. It may be a long fight that
looms ahead of us, but it is a fight that we will win."
