Why should I prepare for a disaster?
Orange County is at risk for both natural and man-made disasters. Disasters can happen with little or no warning, so it’s good to have a household emergency plan that includes your evacuation, sheltering, and communication steps.
How do I prepare for a disaster?
You can start by: 1. Making an emergency plan that includes every member of your household, including your animals. 2. Making (or buying) a 72-hour disaster supply kit. 3. Staying up-to-date about emergency response services and programs in your community.
