Parents and cadets we are working with security. If you are not issued a pass, please wait in the parking lot,
call 362-5497 (ENS Dubonnette Cell) and a staff member will come and escort you aboard. If you haven’t given
the ADMIN Officer or Commanding Officer your Driver’s License Number, Social Security Number and Date of
Birth, please do so. Security now requires this information for their paperwork
Travel to drill in utilities, Report and check in with your completed correspondence course assignments for Sea Cadets,
Syllabus Assignments for League Cadets, supply request chits and drill fees (should be in a sealed envelope). After this
is completed report and await instructions from staff. Do not roam around outside. If you will be late or absent, muster
by phone by calling 925-1903 and leave a message. PARENTS PLEASE GIVE DRILL FEE AND MONEY FROM
FUNDRAISERS TO YOUR CADET IN A SEALED ENVELOPE.
WEEKEND SEA BAG: FULL COMPLETE SEA BAG. Keep in mind that an undershirt is not a T-shirt for our
purposes. Use your issued PT gear or Navy issue PT gear. T-shirts cannot be tight fitting. Do not bring
civilian gear such as colored underwear, nigh ties, tops with spaghetti straps, etc. Do not bring sprays,
powders or makeup. If you lock your bag, bring a spare key and give it ADMIN or Personnel to be put in your
service jacket. If you are having difficulty in a subject at school, bring your homework for that subject with you.
PARENTS. The following procedures are in effect for ALL drills:
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) do not need to stay once they drop their cadet off unless they have been
contacted by an officer to sign paperwork. The sea bag will be checked for contraband and it will be
taken from the cadets and placed in a secure place in ADMIN. The cadet will be responsible for asking
for the return of any confiscated items. Items such as cell phones, MP3 video players, etc. are not
allowed. If there is an emergency, staff can be reached by calling the office.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will be required to stop at the front desk in room 217 to sign their cadet out and
sign any papers or forms necessary. In addition, all parents and cadets will remain until Sea Bag and
Cadet are matched. This procedure is effective immediately!
Cadets you will leave the drill site in uniform, no changing to civilian clothes after the awards
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) if you haven’t submitted Driver’s License Number’s and date of birth, email them to the
Commanding Officer at email@example.com or call and leave information on her home phone (559-924-
7486) if no one answers. This information is now required for the Base Access Security List.
April is the first month for competition to be chosen for Sea Cadet /League Cadet for the second quarter. The
new Cadet of the Quarter chit is being used at every drill. Your job is not to receive them. These will affect the
staff’s choice for Sea Cadet of the Quarter and League Cadet of the Quarter. All selectees for the year will be
considered for Cadet of the Year through National Headquarters.
INVITE FRIENDS: If you have friends who wish to come, please contact the ACTING CO as soon as
possible so that arrangements can be made to get them on base.
DRILLS & UPCOMING EVENTS (Mark your calendar!):
Always check bulletin board outside the office for the 2010 Squadron Calendar which is posted. If a
change has been made since the last one you received, it will be typed in red. A new calendar will
only be issued after several changes.
PARENTS, WE NEED AN OVERNIGHT ESCORT THIS DRILL. If a male volunteers, a female will
also be needed for the female cadets. We need parent commitment (one parent, either Mother
or Father) to help us. We will always need a female adult as long as we have female cadets.
The staff cannot stay up most of the night and then work with your cadet all day long.
Cadets we still need your ideas and suggestions for Fundraisers. We will be collecting the rest of the money
for the Candy Bar fundraiser this drill. A portion of the funds collected will be used for Cadet Trainings.
Contact ENS Jolene Dubonnette (see contact information below) with your suggestions and ideas.
