Fox10’s Arizona Idol Audition Fact Sheet
Thank you for auditioning for FOX10’s Arizona Idol. As you are aware, the winner of this local contest is guaranteed an audition with producers from American Idol in Glendale, AZ, July 25, 2008. In an effort to make sure things run as smoothly and quickly as possible following is additional information on the audition process: Open auditions will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Westgate City Center, AMC Westgate 20. Registration begins at 6am. Auditions will begin at 7:00 AM. We will audition the first 1000 contestants. There will be no overnight camping allowed inside or outside the venue. Lineup for registration may begin no earlier than 5am on the morning of Tuesday, July 8, 2008. All contestants should be prepared to sing for a cappella for 30-seconds; you will be timed so please do not go over your 30-seconds. You must complete a “FOX10”s Arizona Idol Release Form” before you will be permitted to perform and Identity must be verified. You will receive a bib number once your forms. Do NOT lose this number. You will NOT be given another number. Do NOT discard your bib number. If you are one of the finalists, you will need to wear the same number at the finals audition at the FOX10 studios. After you receive your number you must stay in numerical order. To maintain your identify, a photo will be taken of you and will be either attached to audition folder (Polaroid) or kept in reference to your audition folder (digital).
You will be called to the microphone to perform only once. If you are not present, we will move on to the next person. We will not revisit a number once it is called. In an effort to keep all components of this talent contest fair, you will not be permitted to use your own microphone/CD player/sound system etc. Ten (10) contestants will be chosen from the auditions at Westgate City Center to perform for judges, 7pm July 10, 2008 at the FOX10 studios, 511 W. Adams in Phoenix. From their final performances, one (1) winner will be selected as this years Arizona Idol. The top five (5) finalists will sing an exhibition performance on FOX10 Arizona Morning the week of July 14, 2008. Each day one (1) contestant will perform on the show including Friday, July 18, 2008 when the winner will be announced. All finalists will need to be available to be at the FOX10 studios between 7:00-9:00 AM the week announced. Please arrive at 6:45 AM at the FOX10 studios, 511 W. Adams, Phoenix Arizona. ALL FIVE (5) Finalists must be present at the FOX10 Studios Friday, July18, 2008 for the announcement of the winner. All decisions are final.
