Choices in Lucid Dreaming If you were given a million dollars to spend right now, and you had to spend it on something in the next 15 minutes or you would lose it, how would you spend it? It would be nice to know when this was going to happen beforehand, so you could think about it and make a decision on how best to spend the money, right? Well, you need to think this way when it comes to lucid dreaming as well. Many lucid dreamers suddenly find themselves aware in a dream, but then have a difficult time imagining what to do next. It happens all of the time. This amazing opportunity arrives, and it is possible to do anything a person can imagine, and they end up spending precious moments of dream awareness scratching their heads. Recognize the value and importance of lucid dreaming and this wont happen to you. Each day, make a clear choice of what you would like to accomplish once you begin to have a lucid dream. This will not only greatly improve your lucid dreaming experience, but will also increase and strengthen your intention to dream lucidly. Then, take the time each day to follow these three steps: 1. Resolve to recognize when you are dreaming - Make it your intention to to recognize when you are having a dream and to remember it. 2. Imagine yourself dreaming - Visualize yourself in a dream and recognizing the signs or situations that would make you aware that you are having a dream. 3. Imagine your intended dream action and resolve to carry it out - Flying, healing, creating, problem solving, etc. Once you start practicing these basic steps, you should reach a point where you are getting more out of your lucid dream experiences. Lucid dreaming requires a good night sleep and a good amount of mental energy, but a positive lucid dream experience will leave you feeling much more refreshed and invigorated the next day.
