Contact info. prominently displayed Many products available for purchase; many of them latest-greatest/popular products Many useful web links available – good for search engine rankings; also shows dedication to biking Web coupon – great idea Trail map – ditto above Photos of interior and exterior of store Shopping cart / contact form already in place Text on home page is informative and well thought out; contains valuable key words for search engines Weaknesses 1. 2. 3. Color scheme not user-friendly; replace red background with white for read/usability Coordinate color scheme / site graphics with shopping cart (beige / purple) for homogeneity. Shoppers are more likely to buy from sites whose shopping carts match their home pages. Web coupon is buried – give link a graphic or more prominence. Also layout web coupon better, clarify expiration date, and make it more attractive to printout, i.e. add an official-looking border around it. Trail map – scan a cleaner copy so people can get a better printout Use photos of interior and exterior of store on top-level (main) pages. Photos are washed out and need to be retaken or re-scanned. No matter what, they need more prominence and should not be attached to links only. Cleanup contact form – remove red background; eliminate any superfluous fields; lineup fields with each other. Right now, too chaotic to make someone want to fill out. Flesh out all other top-level pages with more text. Will help search engine rankings. Do not link products to shopping cart that are not available for web purchase. Frustrating to user. Separate products for purchase from those for viewing – i.e. give featured bikes their own page like the Rainy City Chopper has, but do not put them in shopping cart if they cannot be purchased 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Redesign site navigation buttons for a cleaner look and feel – consolidate the web links onto one or two buttons instead of 3 or 4 – for a good example of site navigation, see link to http://www.tifosioptics.com/ on your site 11. Give site an overall facelift and some additional text, maybe some restructuring, then submit to Google and Yahoo on a daily basis for six months to see web hits / sales increase. Eventually, consider purchasing Google Ad Words program to drive more visitors to the site and / or store.
