1. Old recipe from north fishermen: “Stroganina” has been known from Middle Ages.



Ingredients:

1 kg of cod

2 onions

salt, pepper, vinegar

vegetable oil



The process of cooking:

The cod is freezed, in freezing condition it is cut into pieces. Then you need to add some salt, pepper,

vinegar and vegetable oil (the quantity depends on your taste) and cover cod by rings of onion.

Everything is mixed, and in 10-15 minutes can be served on a dinner table.



2. The cod under the cheese



Ingredients:

1 kg of cod

0,5 kg of onion

small bunch of dill

200-300 g of cheese



The process of cooking:

Scrape the cod from the scales, cut off the head and the fins. Cut the fish into pieces about 2 cm thick.

Grease the pan with vegetable oil (it will appear a lot of juice), cover it with fish pieces (laid closely to

each other). Powder it with chopped dill and onion, sliced in half-of-the-ring form. Cover everything with

layer of grated cheese. Everything is roasted in an oven at 210-220 degrees Co until the cheese becomes

goldy.



3. This is famous Russian holiday recipe – herring under fur-coat. This is a kind of rich nourishing

salad.



Ingredients:

2 big herrings

5 potatoes

4 carrots

3 beetroots

4 eggs

400 g of mayonnaise



The process of cooking:

The vegetables are boiled until complete readiness. Eggs are cooked hard-boiled. Scrape the herrings and

separate its meat from the bones. Chop the filleted fish very carefully. Take deep glass bowl and put an

equal layer of the chopped herring on its bottom. If you like onion, you can put the rings of onion above

the herring. Then pour the first layer with a lot of mayonnaise. The next layer consists of grated boiled

potato and mayonnaise again. After that you cover everything with: grated boiled carrot, mayonnaise,

grated eggs, mayonnaise, and grated beetroot as the last layer. Everything is flooded with mayonnaise and

sprinkled with grated egg (for smart looking). Before serving you should make it cold and wait for some

time, so that everything can be saturated with mayonnaise.
