Project Title: Gulf Islands National Seashore, Davis Bayou Visitor Center,
                       Multimedia Programs
Park: Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS)
      Program Numbers: MM-0058 and MM-0059

      I. BACKGROUND

Gulf Islands National Seashore stretches 160 miles from Cat Island in Mississippi
to the eastern tip of Santa Rosa Island in Florida. There are snowy-white beaches,
sparkling blue waters, fertile coastal marshes, and dense maritime forests. Visitors
can explore 19th century forts, enjoy shaded picnic areas, hike on winding nature
trails, and camp on Perdido Key and all Mississippi barrier islands except West
Ship Island. In addition, Horn and Petit Bois Islands located in Mississippi are
federally designated wilderness areas. Nature, history, and recreational
opportunities abound in this national treasure.

The William M. Colmer Visitor Center (also known as the Davis Bayou Visitor
Center) in Ocean Springs, Mississippi is located in the Davis Bayou area of Gulf
Islands National Seashore. This is the third visitor center to undergo exhibit
renovations since the catastrophic hurricanes of 2004 and 2005. The facility has
now been renovated and repaired and new exhibits have been designed.
Fabrication of exhibits will begin by the end of 2009 with installation scheduled
for September 2010. The Multimedia programs designed for inclusion in the new
exhibits will be produced under this Task Order. Other AV programs will be
produced under the AV IDIQ Contract.

For additional information about the park, visit their website at
