The Information Technology Services (ITS) - Platforms, Databases and Storage areas provide for the complete infrastructure and operation of all ITS-Computing Services and a variety of other UNM servers. The systems groups provide the physical computers, operating systems, applications servers installation, configuration and maintenance. They also manage many of the essential online services used at UNM such as email, calendaring and web services. The database group provides essential support for UNM’s mission-critical ERP systems (Banner/LINK, Operational Datastore, and Hyperion). The Storage area provides state-of-the-art online and backup storage for a wide variety of needs including Banner production and development, all of the ITS systems and third parties needing high capacity along with highly reliable storage. All of these groups are frequently called upon to provide the “support of last resort” for ITS and UNM. They provide expert consulting and problem resolutions for a wide variety of ad-hoc requests.
