When will PC-cillin (PCC) 2007 made available in the channel? PCC 2007 will be available within the first week of November Why should I upgrade to PCC 2007? PCC 2007 offers increased value at an excellent price point. New features include new, state of the art anti-spyware engine, enhanced firewall protection, online services through TrendSecure with mobile security and transaction security. PCC 2007 Webpage Note: TrendSecure online services will not be available to customers who utilize multi -user (25+) licensed-based versions of PCC 2007. If a customer wants to utilize TrendSecure online services will need to order the three (3) user pack version of PCC 2007. Will PCC 2006 keys work with PCC 2007? Yes, your existing single-user and 3-user PCC 2006 keys will work. PCC 2007 now comes standard for 3-users. Therefore, the PCC 2006 key will allow a customer to install/upgrade onto 3 PCs. Customers should download the PCC 2007 application from Trend Micro’s website: PCC 2007 Download Center Will PCC 2006 customers who own a multi-user license key need a new key to use PCC 2007? Yes, customers who own PCC 2006 between 5 – 24 licenses must provide valid serial numbers, validate the number of seats and provide valid email addresses in order to upgrade to PCC 2007. To obtain PCC 2007 license keys/serial numbers, contact PC-cillin customer support (5 – 24 users’ customers) at 800-864-6027 or (25+ users’ customers) 800-SMB-TREND. It’s important to note that PCC 2007 was designed for the consumer and home office - one serial number may be used for up to three (3) PC installations. Customers who want to upgrade from five (5) user licenses will receive two (2) serial numbers will be effective for six (6) PCs Customers who want to upgrade from ten (10) use licenses will receive four (4) serial numbers will be effective for twelve (12) PCs. Customers who want to upgrade from 24 use licenses will receive eight (8) serial numbers will be effective for 24 PCs.
What is the best way to manage multiple serial numbers? PCC 2007 is targeted primarily aimed at the consumer market. For small businesses that require more centralized control, Trend Micro SMB security solutions will provide more control and management capabilities. We will provide customers who have purchased 25 or greater seat licenses a single serial number.

How can channel partners sell the new PCC 2007? For customers between 1 and 24 users, partners will sell in increments of the 3 -user pack product. A five (5) user should be sold two 3-packs A 24 user should be sold eight 3-packs. For customers that require 25 or greater seats should sell the 25+ license model which will give the customer a single serial number for all users. Is there an easy way for end-users to upgrade via the Web? Yes, for single-user and 3-user PCC 2006 customers, they can download the latest version of PCC 2007 from the Trend Micro web site. Their 2006 serial numbers will work with 2007. Their expiration date will be retained in 2007. We are currently working on implementing an online solution for 5-25 pack users which should be in place in a few weeks. Will PCC 2006 media be limited? We estimate we have enough PCC 2006 stock for all orders until we discontinue. PCC 2007 st media will be available the 1 week of November. Our plan is to move both consumer and small business customers from PCC 2006 to PCC 2007. If their licenses are up for renewal, customers are encouraged to contact their partner of choice to renew or purchase PCC 2007. We recommend customers upgrade to PC-cillin 2007 as opposed to renewing their PCC 2006 license. If they choose to renew, customers may contact their reseller. What about Windows 98 customers?
