BMS Calendar of Events 2006-2007
Please take a moment to schedule these dates into your calendar. A calendar of events will be posted at all times in the orchestra room. Please take note that not all dates will apply to you. For example: Viola, Cello, and Bass players will not need to participate in Violin Sectionals. Also, there are very few commitments for Concert Orchestra members. Students are allowed two excused rehearsals per semester. Absences will only be excused with a parent note to be turned in no later than three days after missed event. WINTER AND SPRING CONCERTS WILL NOT BE EXCUSED. Absence from these two events will result in a failing semester grade. August 23 August 25 August 29 First day of school. Concert (6th grade) Orchestra instrument selection. Philharmonic and Symphony (7/8 grades) to bring instrument to class. Concert Orchestra members to have instrument and supplies in class.
