                                           Troubleshooting Checklist
         Please fill-out the appropriate information that APPLIES to your Technology Problem .
        If there are questions that do not apply-please do not answer those particular questions.

                            Checklist for Log-on Problems or Internet Problems


    Yes           No       1. Is there a green light on the back of the computer next to where the network cord is plugged in? If not,
                           see the tip below! (AKA: Internet Cable)

                           Tip: Unplug the network cord and plug it back in securly. If the green light is still not on, restart your
                           computer.

    Yes           No       2. Is the domain typed correctly? It should murray

                           Tip: Try retyping the domain. Sometimes the domain name can be wrong


    Yes           No       3. Is the username and password correct? Teacher computers should be logged on as *your school's
                           initials and the word class and the password learn.

                           Ex: Username: *mhsclass            Password: learn

                           Tip: Make sure that you have typed in the correct username, password and refer back to #2 above
    Yes           No       4. You have logged on but cannot connect to Internet still, check with someone else to see if they can
                           connect to the Internet. If they cannot, check tip below.

                           Tip: Restart your computer, if you still can't before turning in a work order, check with Site Requestor to see
                           if we are experiencing Network problems for the school or county.

                  Done     4. Shut down your computer and restart


                           Tip: Select Ctrl/Alt/Delete (all at the same time) and "Select end task" OR Hold down the power button on
                           your computer tower until the screen goes black. Wait 10 seconds then reboot.

    Yes        I have looked at ALL of the Trouble-Shooting Check-list Forms to make sure the solution is not located there.

    Yes        None of the Troubleshooting Check-lists apply to my Technology Problem that I am experiencing

                   and need to turn in a work order to have a technician investigate the problem.
