GENERAL NOTES PLANT VARIETIES Table I 1 These figures concern the sexually propagated plants registered as new plant varieties under the Plant Variety Protection Act with the Department of Agriculture as well as the plant patents granted for asexually reproduced varieties. 2 The distinction between residents and non-residents does not necessarily mean that the titles of protection for plant varieties were issued in the resident's country of origin since applications may be filed as the result of an exclusive contract.
NOTES GÉNÉRALES OBTENTIONS VÉGÉTALES Tableau I 1 Ces chiffres concernent les plantes propagées sexuellement enregistrées en tant que nouvelles variétés de plantes auprès du Département de l'Agriculture ainsi que les brevets de plantes délivrés pour des variétés reproduites par multiplication asexuée. 2 La distinction entre résidents et non-résidents ne signifie pas nécessairement que les titres de protection pour les variétés végétales ont été délivrés dans le pays d'origine du résident puisque les dépôts de demandes de protection peuvent être le résultat d'un contrat d'exclusivité.
