Jetrion 4000 Series
Introducing the First Affordable,
Full-Color, Narrow Web Digital Press...
The Jetrion 4000 Series of UV Inkjet Printers
offers narrow web converters an affordable
alternative to color laser. With low running
costs, the production advantages of color UV
inks and the flexibility of inkjet technology,
the Jetrion 4000 is well-suited for narrow web
applications, including labels, tags, tickets,
and forms. The 4000 is available in web
widths of 4" (100 mm), 6" (150 mm) and 8"
(200 mm) and can interface with a range of
standard converting equipment.
By teaming up with leading paper and coating
suppliers, Jetrion is continually expanding its
portfolio of qualified substrates.

the size of individual ink drops, the Jetrion 4000 can
print near-photographic quality. The Jetrion UV4000
ink set of cyan, magenta, yellow and black can
reproduce the vast majority of the spot colors used
in narrow web applications. White inks will be
available for early production units in 2007. For ink
curing at all speeds, the printer incorporates a high-
performance UV lamp outputting 600 watts per inch. Applications

The press operator selects
and loads jobs from a single
control panel. All inkjet,
curing and web systems are
controlled from this single
location as well.
Requiring limited capital investment
and low running costs, the Jetrion 4000
is the first narrow web digital press fit
for run lengths up to 50,000 labels, and
even higher volume batch printing.
The grayscale quality of print makes it
a perfect fit for secondary labels and
industrial labels, a subsegment that
makes up over 50% of the market. The
4000 will even be suitable for certain
primary labels. Never again pre-print

ence the wasted time and materials
from off-line variable or batch printing.
The Jetrion 4000 can print both the color
and the varying information in one pass,
quickly and cost-effectively.

maintenance on the Jetrion 4000. Since
the printheads have no moving parts and
the ink system is fully filtered to prevent
jet blockages, maintenance is limited.
The transport itself, containing only
sealed bearings, is virtually maintenance-
free. A customer’s service team can be
trained to perform standard maintenance
on mechanical and electrical components.
Spares packages are available.
Calculations are based on a 2 x 3 inch label (50 x 75 mm) with 30% ink coverage.
