CDP – The Process
The HPC Commercial Team looked across their portfolio of suppliers on contract
and selected suppliers across the board. The objective was to get a couple of
suppliers from several key category areas to complete the CDP questionnaire.
Several category teams provided contact details for their key suppliers and this
information was collected and shared with the CDP team.
There was significant cross-over between public sector suppliers, so any
duplications were removed, leaving xxx suppliers
These suppliers were then invited to log on to the CDP and complete their
questionnaire.
CDP – The Suppliers
We ended up with a total of 16 suppliers who were invited by HPC to complete the
CPD questionnaire.

CDP – The Next Steps
Once the results are published, we hope to be able to compare and benchmark
the responses, both across a category and an organisation.
It is hoped that we will be able to help focus the attention of our suppliers on
ways to reduce their Carbon Footprint by working with them to discuss the
results of their questionnaire.
This also provides information for the Category Managers to incorporate into
their contract management and any future tenders, ensuring sustainability is on
the agenda.
