The Spring 2007 Regulatory Agendas Are Out!
It's springtime. That means it's time for the Semi-Annual Regulatory Agenda. On April 30, 2007, the Semi-Annual Regulatory Agenda was published in the Federal Register. Also known as the "Unified Agenda," this biannually published report lists recent and pending regulatory changes, categorized by agency. All open rule changes are listed and grouped according to the following five stages of development: - "Pre-Rule Stage" for which the agency is developing an advanced notice or request for information, or changes they are considering; - "Proposed Rule Stage" for which the agency is developing a proposal; - "Final Rule Stage" for which the agency is developing a final rule; - "Long-Term Actions" that are more than a year from expected completion; and - "Completed Actions" recently finalized. Each entry also includes contact information and references to the Federal Register releases, thus allowing you to learn more about each change. We've highlighted some of the more interesting activities. However, you can learn more about what each agency is working on by reading its full agenda. For more information on any individual rulemaking, refer to the sequence number given for each item.
