Job Search Radio to Debut Amid Record Unemployment

New internet radio show on Small Plate Radio will help job seekers find work

April 1, 2009 (FPRC) -- JOB SEARCH RADIO, a live-interactive podcast, will air on Small Plate
Radio (www.smallplateradio.com) each Monday afternoon at 1pm eastern time. The show’s tagline
is “Your Job Search Simplified”, and the program will feature interviews with career and job search
experts who will help listeners navigate the myriad job boards, resume services and other job finding
resources. The live, interactive webcasts allow listeners to participate in the discussion by submitting
questions over the web, and archived shows can be downloaded for later listening on MP3 devices
and computers.

Small Plate Radio founder Doug Zanger says the unprecedented interest in the art and science of
the job search has prompted the launch of Job Search Radio. “Nearly 5 million Americans are
currently collecting unemployment benefits, that’s an all time high.”
In addition, the Federal Reserve predicts the nation’s unemployment rate may hit as high as 9% this
year.

Job Search Radio seeks to help people simplify their job search and ultimately find that perfect job,”
said Zanger. Job Search Radio will be produced and hosted by Zanger and Kyle O’Brien, both
based at the Small Plate Radio studios in Portland, OR, and Daniel Durazo, a Richmond, VA-based
marketing consultant and writer.

Small Plate Radio currently hosts over a dozen shows on its platform, including proprietary shows
like “Appland,” (www.smallplateradio.com/026) devoted to discussion on iPhone applications, and
“Radiocreativeland Radio,” (www.smallplateradio.com/001) an extension of the Radiocreativeland
website (www.radiocreativeland.com), specifically geared towards professionals in the radio creative
industry. Small Plate Radio also hosts a show for Oregon 150, the campaign celebrating Oregon’s
sesquicentennial (www.oregon150.org), and work for SonicID (www.sonicid.com), a sonic branding
and identity firm with offices in the US and UK. The Appland show alone has gained over 20,000
downloads/listens after just 3 episodes.

Small Plate Radio is a business unit of Xhang Creative (www.xhangcreative.com), a creative agency
based in Portland, Oregon. Shows from Small Plate Radio are broadcast live online at
www.smallplateradio.com and through advertiser, business and brand websites.
