Presently working in IISc, Bangalore on a project “ULTRA SOUND MODULATED TOMOGRAPHY”

September 2005 to October 2006:
Engineer, Central Research & Development Laboratory, Vedanta Group of Company, (R&D Section). Plant in
charge for the Extraction of Lead and Zinc, and to develop flow chart to increase the recovery of Lead and Zinc.
     Controlling the Pilot Plant (Beneficiation Plant) for the extraction of Lead and Zinc from respective
       ores.
     Closed Circuit Mini Flotation tests, Lead Metallurgy for Rampura Agucha ore, Graphite Depressant
       testing using Nigrosine for Rampura Agucha ore, Reagent Optimization for Sindesar Khurd Ore.
June 2007 to August 2007 :
Working on a project viz. “Extraction of Cu,Zn,Co,Ni from PMN (Poly Metallic Nodules)” sponsored
by MoES (Ministry of Earth Sciences), a Govt. of India enterprises.
   Controlling the Pilot Plant (PMN) for the extraction of Cu, Ni, Co from Sea Nodules.
     My role in the plant as Shift Engineer. Processes such as, Leaching, Demanganisation, Ammonia
Stripping, Bulk Sulphide Precipitation, Bulk Sulphide Dissolution, Electrowinning, etc;
 INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE:
Industrial Training at VISL (Steel Plant) Bhadravati, Karnataka.
2 months (June 2004 - Aug 2004).
To learn the functioning of Foundry, Forging, Materials Testing, Blast Furnace Divisions, Rolling and Quality
Assurance Divisions etc.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

M.Tech & M.Sc PROJECTS:
M.Tech. Project: “ENERGY REDUCTION IN ZINC                             ELECTROWINNIG”
                           The dissertation deals with studies that result in decrease in energy       consumption
                           during Electrowinning of zinc by the use of additives like Methanol, Perchloric acid,
                           Charcoal, Coke breeze and Coal. The principle applied being the decrease in electrode
                           potential of the anode that results in decrease in energy consumption. The effects of
                           various operating conditions like Current Density, Concentrations, Particle Size of
                           Additives and Current Efficiency on the Energy Consumption were studied.

M.Sc. Project:             “PREPARATION AND HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTIVITY STUDIES OF
                           Bi 2212”.
                           Zinc doped semi-conducting phases of Bismuth 2212 phase found to exhibit a wide range
                           of interesting behaviour starting from oxide insulator to high temperature
                           superconductors.

          at Neriamangalam, Kerala in Nov.1991 and secured First place in volleyball.
      3   Participated in First All India Essay Competition on Road Safety held in January 1991 and secured Second
          place.
